Or just listen to your iTunes Music Library on your phone. Apple Music is not supported.
Starling provides professional 31-band equalizer which is fully compliant with ISO 266:1997 for best sound adjusting. 19 presets included for simple use cases. Important fact is, Starling stays energy efficient all the time.
Smooth frequency visualizer is supported for all devices. iPhone 4S, 5, 5S supports visualizer in landscape mode only.
The app has powerful content management system. It allows you to create your own collections with attached cover and then add elements from ANY SOURCE simultaneously.
Storage has built-in file manager that allows you to create new folders, copy or move your files within the app.
Starling supports cover images as separate image files inside the same folder that audio file you listen to — for example, cover.jpg
To add your audio files you can use AirDrop, iTunes File Sharing or “Open In” menu in the other apps.
Another option is listen to your iPod Library. Apple Music library is not supported. Inside iTunes tab, Starling shows bought in iTunes and downloaded to device items only.
Search works for elements from any source: either Storage or iTunes Library.

Ratings and Reviews
It Has Potential
I have to say I really like this app. The screen has a nice display. It rotates to landscape mode and still looks great. Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the iPhone sleep mode while playing music it just goes black. That is a deal killer. In fact not much you can do in the settings except change the display from light to dark. Also being able to load playlists off of the music app would be a big plus. But it has potential if they fix these flaws. The audio spectrum display is very cool. But left and right output in mono. Not a deal killer but it would be great if it was true stereo. Hopefully these issues can be improved.

Hi and thanks for the review!
We definitely will add appropriate setting for holding screen on while playing music. iTunes playlists' access also is on the backlog.
About spectrum visualizer: sorry for that, but FFT algorithm needed for this feature is too more expensive in terms of energy efficiency. We've made some research and incorporated best visual quality/energy efficiency ratio. Adding second channel will dramatically increase energy consumption. But, maybe we'll make auto-adjustable spectrum visualizer: when detected charging we can analyze second channel since energy efficiency is no problem anymore.

Voice memo to playlist! add Repeat play mode?
Allow me to export voice memo to the app and listen in background!!! That's all I'm asking for now! Dunno anything about the equalizer but want to learn. The interface is simple and easy to figure out. Thank you!! Hope there is a repeat play mode in the next version
Developer Response ,
We're working on the completely new version of the app, stay tuned! Voice memos is nice idea, repeat one mode will be added in the new version.
Only two gripes, one being that albums are just randomly listed out as far as I can tell, I would very much prefer for albums to be sorted alphabetically. The second is that the album cover is partially covered up by the iOS signal/time/battery HUD and it’s a real eyesore.
Other than that, the UI is visually appealing and thoughtfully written.
Developer Response ,
Albums are sorted alphabetically by Album Artist and inside each artist by year :)
We have not been working on the app for a while, so sorry for late answer.
We hope to continue maintain the app since March, 2018.
We know already about playback issues on locked screen and will fix it as soon as possible.
Update for iPhone X will be shipped with the same release.
You’re always welcome!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
