Very promising

Let me start by saying that the game is a lot of fun. I love being able to mix up my team to have a different set of skills from level to level. Like many people have said, the combat is simple, and I think that's part of its charm. It isn't a game you have to dedicate a lot of attention to or have a lot of experience to understand how to play, anyone can jump right in and have fun playing from the first level. That said, there is one major problem I have with the game, the progression. It's not an issue at first, but once you get a little ways in, you just about come to a stop. The levels start increasing in difficulty much faster than you could reasonably keep up, and leveling and evolving your characters takes far too much xp and character cards. And this is where microtransactions come in. You can buy gems and different packs to try to get xp tomes and character cards. I understand F2P games need to have this to support themselves, and normally I would have no problem paying for these in a game like this that I enjoy. But with the way progression is in the game right now, I feel like my money would be wasted buying only a chance at such a small amount of what is needed to move on.

Boring game wrapped in LOTR skin

This game allows to play as your favorite Middle-earth characters* in an auto-controlled fashion, letting the player cast abilities and dictate some movement as the characters autopilot around on the combat field. That game mechanic is reasonable; however, the rest of the game is—and I can’t stress this enough—POORLY balanced and designed with regards to the credit and points systems. Some games allow you to grind or purchase energy to level-up, but this one is very frugal about how you can go about doing that unless you want to spend absurd amounts of money on in-game transactions. Overall, there’s little payout in enjoyability nor is there anything that really sets it apart from other games. I have some grinding games that I’ve spent money on. I also have some games on which I’ve grinded and farmed a lot. Usually, there’s a reluctance to delete or give up such games, but I had little to no hesitation when it came time to deleting this game. I’m sorry to the developers, but there are simply too many better games and channels in life to do something more fun and meaningful than invest in this game. 2/5 because it’s visually well-done and playable but certainly failing.

Meh also reviews are fake

I love Lotr and the previous shadow of Mordor was really fun to play, but this is a different game. It has a massive pay to pay barrier blocking the player from the game. By the time you get to the third boss(witch took me two minutes) you're characters all already not strong enough to beat him. Plus many other things witch as the bad character leveling. I will play this game, but it needs lots of updates.

Game still needs work. Once you get through the grind you eventually get to the point where you can actually earn character tokens, but you can only get two every time the event shows, witch is not often, and some characters require 80 of them. They added ways to watch videos although you would need to watch 75 minutes of ads only to have a chance at getting one shard. I did the math. Also you can do rewards, but there very distasteful and ruin the legitimacy of the game( also there probably viruses.) I still play this, but they really need to either drop the prices on palantir rewards(like card packs in galaxy of heroes for comparison) or make it easier to get gems.
