Moment diary app is a way of being a witness to one's own life, something that is harder than you might suppose. It is a way of 'trying to see what you are doing, to hear what you are saying'. A diary makes links. First diarist is one's mother who links facts for one, holds the pieces together.
Diary is like the Greek legend about the king who whispered his secrets to the grass. In a diary, you can alleviate a pressure to say the unsayable. It may be something you haven't even said to yourself, revealed through writing.
Who are diaries for? Diary writing often seems airless, it lacks the oxygen of an audience. It can seem solipsistic, bordering on demented - writing to yourself. Some people self-consciously keep diaries which they hope will be discovered as literary gems by their grandchildren 'Keeping a diary should not be a form of vanity publishing
A diary is often a way of trying to cheat mortality: self-memorialising, a garrulous epitaph. It is about leaving yourself behind, it is almost a message in a bottle.

Love this app, but.....
I absolutely love this app, but I wish it had a Mac app so I could use it more as I spend just as much time on my MacBook as I do on my phone and IPad. This would make it a more rounded app that I could continually keep up with.
Other than that, the app is great!
maybe new update?
i really like the simplicity and calendar format of this app as well as it being free because i can’t afford expensive updates for just writing. but i would love to see new features in this as well, such as an emotion bar where we can put an emotion and then later on look back at those particular emotion such as happy and joyful or confused and sad entries. also having separate pages for events rather than feelings would be great. like if i want to write out my feeling on my feeling calendar and then on my other one use as calendar for think i need to do or remember. also making it a little bit more customizable with cute pastel colors or something like that where we can label each color for different things so we can kind of make it our own. just some ideas. but overall great app and i’ll continue to use!
Pretty good overall
I enjoy the night and day modes, the calendar to view entries on different days, and other features, but I don’t like how once you type past a certain point you can’t see what you’ve written when it jumps to the next line. Also, when I close the app the message to ‘unlock with fingerprint’ pops up and when I press cancel it just takes me back to the app. Other than that I’m really enjoying this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
