New update has fixed iPhone crashing
It took awhile but the crashing issues seem to be resolved.

We’ve released a new version of our HSBC Canada app (2.4). The latest release now means customers experiencing multiple app crashes will be able to successfully launch and use the app. Thanks for your patience while we worked through this.
Doesn’t work with iOS 12
Worked fine with iOS 11, but the app keeps crashing (seconds after I run it) after I updated the system.

Check deposit problem
No matter how still the camera is or how I change the lighting, the app will not take a photo of a cheque.
