Extract Any File 4+

Had a bunch of music files that came to me in an "audio_zip" file. The extension was .zip but the default unarchive inside Big Sur would not touch it. Found "Extract Any File" in Apple App Store and tried it. I guess I didn't read the "drag & drop to extract" in the app store because I didn't know what to do with the pretty "About..." the app from the menu bar and *no* sign of an Open or UnZip or UnArchive. What to do? What to do? I clicked on the support button and wrote an email asking for directions. Well, didn't I feel stupid when the answer came back "Drag & Drop" on the icon. They were fast in their response but also *kind* by not calling me a clod. (I really thought I was better nerd than that.) Yeah, I should've tried the drag & drop on the icon thing. Now I'm giving it 5 stars for doing exactly what they said it would do with .zip archives. And that's all I needed. I have not attempted other types of archives.

I had photo files I downloaded in google from windows that I needed to populate on my Mac. Because the pictures were full size jpegs it required being downloaded as a zip on Google Drive thus I needed software on my mac to unzip the file.
After researching "zip for mac" query this app popped up as a free app. Free is always inviting. I always read the reviews of others first, especially 5 star apps.
The one comment common among most has been the reference to "dragging and pasting" a zip file over the Unzip logo to open the file. That bit of revelation helped considerably.
It's a 5 star for now. If anything negative pops up I'll repost a review.

I found a website that had many files zipped as a rar. I had no idea how to deal with those, even though there was a vague instruction letter telling you how to go about it. It was all very complicated! I went to the comments and saw one person said they used this app for the Mac... .so I thought, why not see... and OMG.. its FOOLPROOF and all you do is click and magic happens! Waaaaay easier than the way the instructions from the website with the downloads wante dme to do.. THANK YOU for a wnderful app!
