hands-down my fave game, but needs some minor edits
I play this game daily and I love the ever-changing challenge of it. However, I do have a few suggestions for improvements: 1. List a "how to" or rules list someplace in the game that explain the point values for letters/words and also what the 'starry' bubbles mean (i.e., is there any benefit to using a letter when it turns into an oval, just before it pops? Does this earn extra points?). It took trial/error to figure out what the starry bubbles meant and how to use the bonus items accumulated (the mines and 'screen clearing vortex'). 2. Provide the dictionary being used. Several words are "not allowed" because they have double meanings (ex: "t(i)t") but they DO highlight and show a point value, they just cannot be entered as words (meaning that they must be blocked by some sort of decency filter). Also, I have come across several words that should be able to end in -er or -ers (plural) that are not allowed. 3. Do not limit the number of letters allowed in a single word. 4. Reduce the number of small bubbles on the screen after a word has been played and the bubbles pop. They obscure the game board too much, which makes it nearly impossible to play quickly on the higher levels. 4. Replace the 'rolling' point counter. Because it counts up one point at a time, it often runs for a minute or more after a level is completed and slows the game. I would suggest that the points automatically total and appear as a lump sum. 5. Assign a time value to the timer. The graphic is an interesting timer, but it's impossible to gauge how much time remains. Also the red countdown clock tends to jump (both up & down) in big increments rather than slowly drain down. Technical issues: 1) game board runs very slowly on levels higher than 50, however the timer is not affected. The timer continues to run down but I am not able to make word selections. 2) I have also experienced several "freezes" at these higher levels, where the app crashes. 3) If game is interrupted (or exited), when restarted the same letter arrangement on the board is not always shown (I have documented with screen shots).
