Practice Kanji in a fun way!
A word in english is shown for which you must identify a correct Kanji character out of a choice of 16. Once you correctly identify all 16 within a given time, you will advance to the next level. There are 127 increasingly difficult levels, giving you a total of over 2000 Kanji to learn. You will start with the most simple of the Kanji on level 1 and advance to the more complex Kanji on each new level. If you run out of time you can start again on the same level, or you can start at a lower level.
This is an addictive and fun way to practice Kanji.
Can you make it through all the 127 levels?
NOTE: To start at a lower level, press the minus sign located to the left of the level number on the "game over" screen.
This latest update adds the much-requested options screen! You can now hide or show either English or readings. You can also turn sound and hints on or off!
Thanks to everyone for your great feedback. We are working constantly on making this app even better and we will be incorporating many of your suggestions in the upcoming updates!
Thanks for your support!

Awesome app but still needs some things!
This app is pretty freaking sweet! I have been focusing on trying to learn the kanji and it is a nice way to have a "quiz" so to speak! And I agree with some of the things others have mentioned, like penalties for wrong guesses and a way to reset and/or choose the level! Also an idea could be of you get some many in a row right you get a time extension. But love this app, just wish I could reset/choose what level to start from from the get go and not have to fail to choose.
I am 75, and I got into learning Japanese as mental exercise. I feel that it has been excellent for that purpose. But It has never been as much fun as it has been since I came across your app. This is excellent and challenging as a game, and educational to boot. I find it very addictive. Thank you. It is worth more than its price just as a memory game. Also it is potentially worthwhile material. I find it much more satisfying than crossword puzzles for instance. Thanks again. I recommend it to anyone who wants a fun mental challenge!!!

I like the idea behind this game, but it's lacking some core features. It automatically starts you at the highest level you've reached, and to select a lower level you have to wait until the timer runs out. Why not have a level select screen? Also, there is no pause option. Being on the iPhone, most users are in transit, so the ability to stop the game while catching a bus or whatever would be nice.
And lastly, I agree with another poster who suggested penalties for getting the wrong kanji. It's no fun if you can just keep guessing until you get the right answer.
That said I do enjoy the game and think with a little work it could be an invaluable training tool.
