What's New in Version 2.13.0
Fixed a bug that caused the target area for the toolbar buttons to be shifted a few pixels up, making it difficult for some users to hit the buttons reliably.
Fixed broken move lists (not the one below the board, but the one that appears after tapping "Move" and "Move List" -- does anybody use this one?) on the new larger iPhones.
Add Variations and Annotations
I have just about every chess app paid and free in the App Store and this is by far my favorite, and it is free! For me, an 1800, player this app is able to do 90% of everything I would want. Playing strength and opening book are amazing but it would be nice to enter variations without the entire game being overwritten. Also, I would like the option to write annotations in when going over my games. Adding those two features would turn this great app into an amazing app. Any chess tournament player should have this app it is very useful and by far the best chess app in the App Store.
p.s. I use this app every day and I have never had any bug problems (on iPad).
Plays a strong, tactical game even when set to lower playing strength I seriously had my hands full at the lower levels! Ok so I was sitting outside a hospital ER in near freezing temps waiting for news about my mother in law but still I am an internationally ranked player and this is one tough fish! The only cons I note so far is there's no resign or claim/offer draw buttons and the app continues to run in the background even after you close it. The work around is just let yourself get checkmated or
Let your clock run out. But overall I LOVE it!
A personal response review
This is a perfect free game.
Sometimes I have a strong opinion of irrational game analytics. Mean, a feeling that a human, less skilled opponent (a dude boob criminal spy...) has connected. But I would like play only vs. the Stockfish at 20 level of strength (3100) as this chess is one of the best two in the ...hole world (an adequate related opponent is Chess Assistant 15 Pro, but have cost). The last disadvantage is not enough varied play styles, strategies, and follow tactics.
I enjoy an amazing free game. It is my the last word!
