Happy Holidays from the LDW Team!
Virtual Families is a casual family sim that runs in true real time. Adopt a little person from the thousands of choices of little people who live inside your iPhone. Encourage them to work in their chosen career to earn money for necessities and luxuries, help them choose a suitable mate, start and raise a family, let them kick back with a variety of leisure activities, and take care of and improve their home. Along the way, there will be many different random events to respond to, house malfunctions to repair, and mini-puzzles to solve, all of them adding an unexpected element to the daily routine. This is the same sensational game that became a smash Windows and Mac hit!

To fix the hose, you need the green leak tape, and two people. Put the tape near the hose with water around it, note, this might take a few tries. After it is there, put one person in the shower and the other by the tape. Your little person then should fix the hose.
To fix walls u must first fix the hose. Put the wall fixing compound near the green bucket near the sandbox. Get somebody 14+ to fix the walls by dropping him/her onto the bucket. They should then fix the walls. To fix floors, put the floor fixing compound next to a crack on the floor. The. Put someone on it and they should fix it. To fix the bird bath get the green pump and place it ne'er the broken birdbath. Then get two adults to fix it by placing them both by te fountain. To open the shed, place an adult on the square in the sandbox, they will put somethin in the shed door. Agee that, put your person on the doormat and they should fix the shed door.
To fix a leak put your person on te fireplace thing in the workshop OR near the ironing board that I in the the laundry room. to put out a smoking oven hold ur person over the shed until it reads "name" sees the fire extinguisher. To water the plants, hold ur person over the shed until it reads "name" sees the waterin cans. Drop them on that an they will water the plants.
Most of these involve the shed and the hose. Fix the hose an open the shed first or else some things might not work
Unfortunately, It Has Gotten Boring
I have had this app for a VERY long time and have gone MANY, MANY generations. At the beginning it was fun, I loved playing with my little people and helping them through their tiny lives. I loved the of each new little kid and the renewal of hope as each new generation was started. I'd help the newer people on the comments all the time, I had a fairly popular questions thing. But after maybe 15 generations and almost all of the awards you can get, it got boring. I checked on it less and less, often times the distance in between the time I checked was so much that all my kids would have moved out and gone to college ( they were babies and very young the last time I checked) and the parents would be old and dead. The house would be covered in trash and dirt and socks and the yard was weed world. So I would choose which kid would inherit the house, they would be depressed because of the recent death and the huge mess, and have them start cleaning it. When they got a spouse the spouse would help clean too. By then they'd be very tired. I would just make them have a kids then I'd go on to do other apps and have a very long time between then an the next time I checked "for old times sake". It turned into a vicious cycle so I just wanted to warn all of you that love it, this happened to me, and my two friends with the iPod/ iPhone version who I got to play, and the friend with the iPad version, so beware.
I have some answers so some of the questions you guys have been asking:
To fix the fountain with the fountain pump, you need two adults to lift it because it is very heavy, so drag two adults onto the pump until it says they are fixing it. A suggestion is to get one person to say they are confused then drag the other person to help right away.
To get more money, try saving up and don't buy expensive items until you are happy with your amount of money. A trick to getting like $70,000 is to go into your iTouch or iPhone settings and change the date to two years ahead. Play the game and your money will be raised, but your house will be a mess. You can change the date back and it will still be the same. However, there is a down side, besides the fact that your house is a mess. If you do not provide more than like 1000 food items before changing the date, everyone will be sick or extremely weak and die soon. I'm not sure if 1000 is enough because I haven't tried that much, I only tried like 300. However I assume it would be about 1000 because you don't need to provide 2 years worth of groceries. If you did they would have all been dead already.
Hope this helps!
