Little Master Cricket

This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
"One of our favourites. Ever." - The Guardian Newspaper
Little Master Cricket is an addictive and intuitive batting challenge, using a ragdoll physics engine and a unique control scheme to put you in direct control of the bat.
Swing the bat to hit the ball towards the striped scoring zones, but avoid sending it to the yellow-and-black zones, where you will be caught! Defend your stumps! Choose your strategy carefully: will you play defensively and avoid going out, or will you try to slog your way to a quick century?
Try to get a high score, but don't play too conservatively - your score gets multiplied by your run rate when the game ends! You'll need good concentration and skill to be declared world champion, and to earn the title of the Little Master.
*Realistic physics engine with fluid gameplay.
*Simple, intuitive control. Simply move your finger on the screen, wherever you like, to move the bat
*Multiple types of delivery: top spinners, back spinners, fast balls, and the occasional full toss.
*Global high score support
*Can be played with one hand - ideal for the train or bus
*Change from left-handed to right-handed by flipping your device over
What's New in Version 1.1
- You can now play your music while you play Little Master Cricket. Just start it playing before launching the game.
- You can now play the game with the opposite orientation (with the batsman on the left of the screen). Just flip the device around.
Good Effort But Needs More
This is a fun and engaging app for the iPhone, but it needs more stats and linksage to cricket culture. First, cricket fans are huge stat-o-philes, and this app doesn't provide the kind of feedback we need. The presentation of run rate is cool, but we also need total number of balls, runs, overs, 4's and sixes; for the current effort as well as lifetime. Additionally it would be good to see personal high scores - number of runs, 4s, 6s, and run rate. A match option should also be implemented such that the user can play against a target - now we just slog away one player at a time, but the depth of the game can be expanded with paralles to T20 (20 overs), ODIs (50 overs), and even test cricket! Of course if all your batmen are out before the game well then that's just fun to be had trying to make it to the end of the match and improve your score. To round out the app I would suggest cultural references that would further draw the player into the game - what happens when the runs reach 111 - it's a Nelson! What happens when you get three stright eggs? Hat Trick! This app has so much potential. Three stars now for the engaging gameplay and probably the longest review I've ever written for any app, but expand and improve and it won't take much to convince me this is worth a Six! ...or at least five stars! Keep working on it!
I don't know what I'd do without it
Imagine, a world where you couldn't talk strategy about a game called "Little Master Cricket" to your friends. This game is absolutely fantastic. It grasps the understanding and the motion of a real cricket player. The multiplier system is great. YES! You could get A lower score by not losing on purpose. WHO DOESN'T LOVE THAT! This game should be automatically be downloaded to every phone and iPad NA and EU. GLOBAL HIGH SCORES OP plz nerf.
Still fun after 5 years
I use to play this on my iPod touch 3G and still play it on my iPhone 6. Wish it was more popular so it could be updated to be higher quality
