What's New in Version 1.1.0
Multiple bug fixes
Touch screen vs. D-pad
I must say It is not as responsive as the sega dream cast version because the iPhone doesn't have the beveled d-pad controls that all console controllers come with (that is why we have an iphone), but I can still get drill through 500m with no deaths, so the controls are not all that bad, it's only an issues if you play more than 1000m or infinite, then that's when you will wish that you had an actual d-pad and not a touch screen. It not at all bad just play 500m and you won't get frustrated with the touch screen d-pad controls.
So nostalgic, but....
When you play arcade mode after you die there's no way to go back to the main menu, it just shows you what place you were and it has boxes for you to type your name for the score board, just like the actual arcade game but you can't type your name.
Controls are fatal flaw
I have Mr Driller on multiple other platforms and love it. I figured for 99 cents I could forgive sloppy controls. But it's much worse than I expected. The D-pad is much harder to use and less responsive than other D-pad games. It is nearly impossible to drill sideways without making a ton of mistakes.
Don't buy unless they redo the controls from scratch or add iCade support. It's not even worth a buck. Just frustration.
