Could be better

I enjoy the occasional HO game, but this one is extremely frustrating because of it's limitations. The pictures are a pixelated mess, which makes it very difficult to find things at times. I got this game some time ago, but ended up deleting it because of the pixel hunting, it might not be so bad if it weren't for the timer and the way the game punishes you for touching the wrong spot. Today, when I saw that the game had been updated to support iOS 6, I though that the graphics would be updated as that is what this usually refers to, but it's the same pixelated low res, shown in pillar box. If the graphics were upgraded to retina resolution with sharper more detailed pictures, this game would improve considerably, but it's just not much fun playing a HO game were I can't tell what I'm looking at half the time.

Rather Dark and Hard to See

I really like HOGs and this one looked interesting. However, for some reason it didn't hold my interest very long. I kept coming back to it every so often so it took me a few months to finish it. By that time I'd forgotten the story line and just wanted to finish it and make room for a new app.

As for actual game play, I had a hard time finding the extra items, black bow and feather shapes, that are in every scene because of the darkness of the pictures in general. I really didn't need the hints for the rest and only used them at the very end when my patience was gone. Although this game is timed I only ran out of time once.

All in all, I think I got my dollar's worth, but in retrospect I can't say I buy it again.

Eh, there are better HO games

I appreciate the artist that made the backgrounds but the entire game (dialogue and plot) is just kind of lackluster and 3rd tier. Plus extremely short, but there ARE different objects each level to find, so it does have replay value in that way. But so do other HOs.

What could help: lighten the background graphics! It's close to impossible to find challenge items (because they are black) but easier to find the actual items (because they are lighter than the environment).
It got to the point where I didn't even bother with the list anymore (just clicked all the lighter objects), and would still easily finish the level.
