Venmo is the simple and fun way to send & request money between friends. Whether you’re splitting a dinner bill, the rent check, concert tickets, or the cost of a road trip, Venmo removes the awkward talks over who owes what.
Just send or request money with a message or emoji combo of your choice, then like or comment on all your favorite splitting moments.
The Venmo magic:
• Send money quickly to friends by simply linking your debit card or bank account.
• Find friends automatically using your friend's name, @username, QR code, phone, email or by syncing your Facebook or phone contacts.
• Stay on top of what you owe, what friends owe you and what you’ve bought.
• Make purchases in select apps using Venmo, so you can split with friends easily.
• Venmo protects you by using data encryption to guard against unauthorized transactions and access to your personal or financial information.

Hate hate hate this company and app
I had to download this app just to write a review. I've never had this app and someone made an account with my information and took almost $3,000 out of my bank account. I had to close my bank account and make a new one and now two days ago, I have another transaction on my NEW bank account for $1.99 for a venmo payment. I don't know how someone keeps getting my information and I don't know how these transactions are getting passed through if the first one was fraud under my name/account info. The customer service wasn't any help either, I had made a police report and I wanted to know what account it was sent to but they said that the only way they'll give that up is if a law official were to contact them. I understand that for privacy reasons but why isn't this taken more serious from venmo or the police!? No one is helping me out and I just want them to ban the account from transactions to go through using my bank information! I'm tired of this.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Email from the worst customer service I have ever received in my life AKA VENMO:
“ After reviewing your inquiries and account, we have found that your actions and activity have been in violation of this agreement.
As a result, your account has been permanently deactivated and we regret to inform you that we can no longer offer you the Venmo service. We do not make these decisions lightly, and when we do, it is because we must ensure that Venmo continues to be a safe way to make payments.
Please be aware that any future contact or inquiries will not be answered and that this matter will be considered closed upon your receipt of this email.”
Then, I’m asked to send my drivers license and card statement to them via email to them, all while ignoring my request for someone to actually call me and speak to me about my “violation”. No one in their right mind would email that personal information. Why is their not a link where I can verify who I am. Unacceptable.
I’ll be contacting the BBB and FTC. “Apps” like this who handle people’s money and give poor customer service should be heavily fined or shut down. They have my personal card information, closed my account, and I have 0 explanation why. Thanks VENMO.
Works but interface could be better
I have two bank accounts connected with Venmo, and they're both super long so it's hard to know which is which when I'm trying to make a transfer or pay somebody because they both say the beginning of the bank and not necessarily the account number. If we were allowed to name our bank accounts that would make it easier to differentiate between the two. The interface is a little clunky and could be improved upon.
