Description

FINAL FANTASY

Initially released in Japan in 1987, the original FINAL FANTASY amazed audiences with its rich story and stunning graphics.

Players guide the Warriors of Light as they set out on a quest to restore the crystals to their former luster. Its side-view battles, choice and promotion of character classes, and sprawling world explored with fantastic vehicles quickly became standards of the series. This game set the stage for all FINAL FANTASY games to come.

This release also contains the bonus dungeons added to later editions of the game--the Soul of Chaos and the Labyrinth of Time.

Excellent!

While reading this review please know I am somewhat new to the final fantasy party. Although I've played may RPGs it took me way to long to hear about final fantasy.
As previously stated this game is an adventure RPG that focus les on four "heroes of light". When you start up the game you choose which classes you have in your party and what names they have. One problem with this is they don't tell you you can choose more classes if you tap the characters. I went through the first hour of the game twice because the other classes seemed better to me compared to the ones I thought I was forced to use.
Fast forward 5 minutes and you're playing the game. You will after a while you will notice it is a little difficult to maneuver your character from an overhead view with a virtual d-pad. Even sooner you will notice you have a battle every ten seconds. Those are the two main problems with this game. It's also a little difficult to know where to go next sometimes but persistence and curiosity can solve this problem.
Every thing about the game is fantastic. While a limited the music is great. This game also it's excessively difficult as long as you know good strategies to use in battle. The magic system was changed from the original game. It now uses the standard mp system.
Any RPG fan should play this game as long as they can bear odd controls an frequent battles.

Great Game!

I love Final Fantasy, especially this one. The graphics look so great, and it's a very easy game to get into for a few hours; a great battery drainer. Now, there are a few complaints I've seen, so let me get this straight;
-If your party dies, you don't have to start all the way over; if you stand still, a menu on the right corner will pop up. You tap that, and that opens up your menu for items, your formation, all that, including saving.
-People were complaining it doesn't tell you what to do. In the Inn in Cornelia, there's a bunch of elderly people; they'll describe everything to you.
-Battles pretty easy, you just gotta get good equipment.
-When creating your party, you can tap on the character description (there's name, the the area next to the character describing it) to change its job. Like, for instance, you don't want a Black Mage but a Red one, you can switch them out.

This game is perfect, to be honest; the best game I ever got on my iPod. I recommend it.

"The game that started it all",.

A quote my brother told me.
The final fantasy series was the game my two older brothers grew up with. The first final fantasy i played was FFIV which was absolutely fantastic. It hooked me to keep playing every final fantasy i could. I played FFXIV and thought it was amazing. But then, I saw Final Fantasy on the App Store, i jumped on it in a heart beat. As soon as i started playing , I finally realized what my brother had meant. it had elements in it that were present in games only after its creation. I'm almost at the last boss and i thought that this game was astonishing. I would definitely play this game twice. I recommend this game in the highest possible honor!
