What's New in Version 1.6
● Minor bugs fixed
● Minor improvements
IF YOU'RE STUCK IN THE CAVE, READ THIS!
[THERE'S NO FRICKIN "BUG" OR "GLITCH" IN THIS GAME. THE DEVELOPERS DON'T NEED TO "FIX" ANYTHING.]
[ I'm putting the cave solution at the end of my (original) review, so it won't spoil the game for those who want to figure it out themselves.]
This was my first ever hidden object game, played on my iPad. It's a really good game; very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. I don't have kids, but if I did, I wouldn't worry about them playing this; it's not vulgar, scary, or gross. I guess it's kind of simple, compared to some of the newer hidden object adventure games, with all the puzzles and locks and puzzling inventory items, but it's still really really good.
Ok, the cave thing: remember how the guy was saying something about a lever? When you're in the cave and you only have two objects left to find and the guy keeps saying you need to "clear the trail," what you do is tap on your diary in the upper right corner of the screen and then select the other area (I think it's the hut), and when you get there a mask will burn away, revealing a lever. Tap the lever, then go back to the cave, and that grate will be gone, allowing you to finish the scene.
non-stop sparkles tell you EVERYTHING
This game is awful. If you like being told "Tap here!", "Good job! Now tap over here!", you'll love it.
Most of the screens are ridiculous hidden object screens in which you have to pick a specific set of unrelated objects in order to clear the one master object. But that master object is NOT, in fact, made of those lesser objects. A *good* game, like the Treasure Seekers game, or the Midnight Mysteries games, will have you collect 5 or 6 hidden objects in order to construct an object that is related to the story line, and is used to further your solution.
Not this horrid game. This game is just random object after random object, no story depth, and when you FINALLY get through the tedious and boring random objects, and see an actual puzzle, it is laughable.
Do NOT buy this game, unless you like pointless and endless hidden object scenes that are 100% unrelated to the game's supposed storyline. (And the storyline of this game is moronic.)
Get Treasure Seekers 4, get the Midnight Mysteries, and get City of Fog instead.
One of the best
I've played this game several times through and it is one of my all time favourites. Even though I'm not a huge fan of hidden object games, the way this one plays is different. The scenes are interesting and the realistic sounds evoke a different mood for each one.
Some of the objects are artistically beautiful, and my only wish would be that we could let go of the object so that we could see it better, before putting it in its place. It's obvious a lot of time has been out into making each object.
I hope more games like this keep coming out.
