What's New in Version 1.3.5
Now supports iOS 6!!
Decent game (when it works), but no support
The one thing this game has going for it is the turn-by-turn on-line multiplayer feature. As far as I know, no other risk-like game has that. But support from the developers has always been a problem and now it's brought me (and others) to a standstill. Recently they lost all the user stats and game history for everyone who ever played the game and everyone had to start over from scratch. That was bad enough, but the update they came out with afterwards broke iPad play for me and others. They claim it is a "rare" occurrence (though I've seen quite a few complaints), and the way to fix it is to do a backup and restore of the entire iPad. Doesn't that seem a bit extreme? The symptom is very noticeable (map and country markers move in opposite directions while scrolling map). I can't help but think that if they put just a little brain power into it they could figure out what is causing it. The support forum appears to be broken too and emails sent to the company have gone unanswered. I'll give them 2 stars for past good times. But right now this game is broken with no apparent effort being put into fixing it.
Still playing it on my iPhone 6+
Bought it when it came out, and still playing it. If you like Risk, this is even better. Different maps and different objectives make this game stand out. It’s also much faster paced than the iOS version of Risk. I’m still hoping for an update for Widescreen support; but even without it, Dominion plays better than ever on my 6+ since I don’t need to zoom in as often.
I don’t play online, so I can’t comment on if it works or not. Give this a try if you like Risk. Personally, I play 100 games of this to every one game of “real" iOS Risk that I play. It’s that much better.
Great game with a few w weeks
This game is by far the best risk type game on the market. With many options as to maps and added perks.
The qwerks are that the game usually has a message every time you start online saying the servers are down when they aren't, which is weird and doesn't effect gameplay. This is probably the only reason I didn't give it five stars because it's not as polished as a big name game but it does play like one.
As far as improvements would go, I think I would like more maps even though there are already quite a bit by you can never have enough maps. Polish the messages up a bit it's December and it still talks of an update done in November before I evn bought the game and messages about the servers being down when they aren't in fact down.
I love the options for setting up games you choose having a turn last from 72 hrs to 5 minutes. 7-8 different maps, classic play versus reward play and more.
If your an avid risk fan this game is worth the buy.
