Solve the entangled Loops Of Zen!
This game is about harmony. Restore perfect harmony by rotating the tiles until there is no open end. This is a very unique type of puzzle, enjoy it now on a very large screen and 30 different difficulties.
The level generator makes sure you will encounter an almost infinite amount of different puzzles.
Relax and have fun, Dr. Arend Hintze
Fun & Challenging (but flawed)
I think most of the other reviews here pretty much cover the issues - a fun yet challenging game that's spoiled by the lack of save/resume (it's no fun having to restart the higher levels just because your two-year old came along and pushed the wrong button at the wrong time!). Unlike some of the other reviews I don't think color would add anything to this app - the minimalist black & white adds to the 'zen' nature of the game. However, I would appreciate the ability to 'lock' each tile once you're convinced it's right - would prevent the accidental turning of a tile through either the lack of zoom or the aforementioned 2-yr old.
Add zoom and save/resume and it's worth that extra star, but don't let that put you off buying it - it's still a great game even without those features.
Mostly good app, but could use improvements.
1. The instructions have a typo about "entagled" loops.
2. The ability to save a level in progress might be useful for some people, as pointed out in other reviews.
3. The documentation doesn't mention this, but a swipe gesture to the left takes you back to the menu during any puzzle. This is actually frustrating when you accidentally pull it off near the end of a huge puzzle. Please at least make the gesture pull up a "do you want to quit" menu, or have the game automatically saved or something. The thought of accidentally losing all of my progress on a giant puzzle because my finger slid a wee bit far to the left turns me off from playing this.
Honestly, though, it's a huge improvement on the original Flash game. The grey grid lines make it easier to tap the tile you want, whereas I gave up on the Flash version because the tiles extend too far into the adjacent space, making it easy to click on the wrong tile while trying to click an adjacent one. Also, not having the game automatically transition to the next level when you solve a puzzle lets you appreciate your accomplishment so much more.
Needs to save
Although I could sit for hours and play, I do not have that time. Please add saving to the next version. Starting over when partially completing a level is aggravating. No harmony in that!! The support page only offers a service of building applications, although I don't believe support is needed as the game is simply designed, fully functional and has not crashed on my iPad. I would not add color. Searching through a black and white tangle of loops to find errors is part of the essence of the game. I ask only for the option to save.
