Age of Conquest is a medieval risk-like turn-based strategy game where you take the reins of a budding empire and struggle against fellow empires for control of the world. In one game, up to 80 players vie for supremacy, but only one can be victorious. Every game you win pushes up your score, until you don't just dominate the world, but also your fellow players. Then all will be in your shadow and not just peasants, but even kings will worship you! All this can be yours, but only if you triumph.

Map and AI problems, otherwise good war-game
I played the Europe lite variant and liked it, bought the world version. Much worse touch screen experience with the world version. Many islands are simply too small to select easily, taking as many as 20 tries to get right, which is even more aggravating when one has to select something else first, which must be reselected before one can attempt to hit the three pixel target again and again and again...
The AI is quite simple minded and not aggressive. Also, the AI doesn't seem to react to what is on the board....
Otherwise, an interesting war-game, one with a non-standard ie Risk approach to simulating combat.
Fix the size of the touch zone, or allow the Mao to be pinch-zoomed--or even better, BOTH.
Great Idea, too slow
I bought this game after getting hooked on the free version. And the gameplay is great-- I was a little disappointed that the more expensive World edition didn't include the features of the Europe, Asia, etc editions, but the other reviews are correct that the play is much better than the alternatives.
Which makes the lag all the more frustrating. On my iPhone 4, I can't sit down and play the game. I sit down, spend maybe a minute on my turn, then have to go find something else to do while the spinner spins interminably. A few minutes later it wakes up, and I play, and the process repeats. It is so intensely frustrating to have such a good game that is basically unplayable that I need to give it a poor rating to warn others away.
Exactly what was promised
If you played the free version and loved then this is worth your money. If "missing" features really bothered you then don't buy it. It is the same game except you pick the number of opponents and AI level.
Picking islands can get annoying at times but to me it is not a game breaker though it would be nice to have fixed. I have seen little to no updates in content so buy it for what it is, not what you wish it was.
