The Mercedes Maybach, produced in very limited numbers and costing upwards of $380,000. This highest-end vehicle has carried around some of the most infuential and successful people in the world. It remains for the priviliged very few.
A TVR Chimaera, a hand made sports car never sold in the US due to emissions regulations. The company have now been sold and its future is in doubt.
A 2008 Lotus Europa, this car was due to be exported to the US however never made it. The Europa is still an incredibly rare sight even on British roads.
A DeLorean DMC-12 – a car with a very controversial history that was grounded just as it took off. Today only around 6,500 DeLorean’s are believed to still exist.
A Lamborghini Reventon, costing one million Euros or $1.25 million with a 6.5 liter V-12 rated at 640 hp (480 kW). The Reventon accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of over 340 km/h (210 mph). Only 20 have been built worldwide.
A Lotus Carlton – This saloon was capable of 177 mph (285 km/h) and caused universal outrage amongst safety campaigners when it was launched in 1990. Packing over 400 hp (281 kW), and able to achieve 0-100 mph and back to a complete stop in less than 15 seconds. The Lotus Carlton held the title of the fastest four door saloon for some years. Only 950 were made in Britain at a retail cost of £48,000, it is unknown how many survive today.
