Reviews: "With so many good games in this genre, finding one that really stands out is like finding a four-leaf clover in a field green. Yet, when you do stumble upon that gem, it really shines of awesomeness. Damian Filigree happens to be that four-leaf clover in the field."

How To Play:
You basically have to match three of the same symbols. To do this, you can tap any one of the stones. All stones up till the one you tapped will swap. For example:
If you tap on stone 4, 4 becomes 1, 3 becomes 2, 2 becomes 3, and 1 becomes 1

Every time you manage to match up three or more, the stones will break, and Damian will get the next stones from the wall. By clearing the walls you can lead Damian through the corridors in the bottom of the screen.

Traps, Chains and Items:
If you make multiple combinations, you will receive CHAIN bonuses. With these chains, you will automatically receive an item, which can be used to survive traps.

If you fail to survive a trap, you will lose one heart, and eventually die.
Some traps contain treasures which give you power-ups you can use. This becomes handy later in the game, to revive your health, or dispel the mummy.

Have fun!

Fun for a few hours

It takes a little while to understand how the tiles are swapped, but you get it after a few tries. Not too sure exactly how the game decides what items to give you and when you get an item as opposed to a treasure, or if they're even the same thing. It's so frantic swapping tiles that you have little time to pay attention to what's going on at the bottom of the screen. I'm also not clear on how you get the Egyption symbols for power-ups or what they do, except the Ankh, which I think restores your health. Also, there's no saving and you can't start from the floor that you died on, so you end up having to restart from floor 1. And I'm not entirely sure how many total floors there are either. I haven't gone to the web site, so maybe some answers lie there. Not sure.

Overall, fun game for a few hours. Replayability is low, but if you could restart where you last died, I think I would have played this game until the last floor.

What am I doing?

This is an interesting variation on the match 3 genre. And it tries to have a storyline too. Trouble is, once beyond the match 3 and combination moves shown in the help, I don't know what's going on. There's a miniature sidescrolling dungeon below the main display, but I can't make out what it is (at least, not on the iPhone4 -- maybe the iPad is better?). So while I enjoy progressing through levels, I don't understand where the traps come in, or why I lose hearts and eventually the game. One other thing, why do I have to go through the first level everytime, which is just a tutorial, with prescribed moves? If I've done it once, make it optional. So give me more help on the traps, and skip the first level. 3 stars for originality and potential. I'd give it 4 if it was more polished.

Fun but needs save feature

This game is very enjoyable and a blast to play, but what I still don't understand is why any dev would assume people want to play a game with no save function on a MOBILE platform. News flash devs: It's a phone first -- that means calls, text messages, emails and other assorted communications will interrupt your game. And when I spend 10 minutes getting to level 5, only to have my boss call me and lose my save progress, I'm not going to be a happy gamer. It's a simple fix -- to not implement an autosave feature (or even just a normal save feature) is sheer laziness and a slap in the face to gamers.

Implement SOME way to for me to my progress and I'll give you 5 stars. Until then, be happy with the 2 you get from me, because I'm tired of playing levels 1-3 OVER AND OVER AND OVER...
