He escapes to the local shopping mall thinking it will be a bastion of safety, but it turns out to be anything but. It's a true struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies,
but with full reign over an entire shopping center, Frank can utilize anything to fight off the flesh-hungry mob.
- Survive in a shopping mall overrun with an army of undead where everything and anything is a weapon.
- Move environmental objects like tables or garbage cans.
- Chow down on assorted "mall food" to revive health.
- Snatch items from different stores to use as weapons, including golf clubs, fry pans and more!
- Context sensitive controls appear as needed, allowing you to perform complex actions with a tap of a button.

Great game so far but missing a few key features.
Let me start this out by saying I love this game so far, the Melee combat is solid, the framerate is smooth on even my low end device (iPhone 3GS), and gun combat is actually improved (Guns actually have use), however, with all of these pros there are the inevitable cons: the walking animations are just god-awful, the draw distance is hilariously short, the difficulty this series is renowned for is nonexistent (There's no need to restart from scratch), the story's been replaced with cookie cutter "daily missions", weapons aren't found in logical spots but just kind of halfheartedly scattered around the map, most stores are closed, the humor is basically nonexistent, and there is absolutely ZERO character customization. These flaws don't ruin the experience but it does give it an unfinished feel that is more than a little distracting. All-in-all this is an average iOS game that I would recommend only to existing fans of the series.
Could have been better
I guess if your a Dead Rising fan you'll like it, but it lacks in many ways. There's not much of a story line, just missions, no camera, hard to learn, not that many zombie or weapons, bad graphics, and you don't get the same enjoyment from killing zombies as you would in the real game. But it does have its upsides. Not only can you play as Frank West, but also others like Brad, MAD ZOMBIES!, and instead of the bathroom, there is the Box. Obviously you have to save your game there (they couldn't take out the most enjoyable part of the game, could they?), but you also learn about new missions, and you can make a rescue call. Basically, I'm still not a 100% on this, but if your dying, you can make a rescue call on Facebook or Twitter and if someone answers it, you come back to the game, with extra PP, and an achievement. And if they don't, you become a zombie in someone elses game. In all it's not worth it.
Good but with one big problem
So this game tries to replicate the feel of dead rising on a phone and it mostly succeeds. The only problem I'm finding is the camera control. Namely how bad it is. You can run around and have NO control over where the camera is (which I always hate) or you have full camera control but the problem is that in order to even spin the camera around to look the other way you have to swipe across the entire screen at least 5 or 10 times. Why is there no sensitivity slider for this?
Regardless they should ALWAYS give more control options in the touch screen phone games since they need it more than a game system using buttons would need. Put a camera sensitivity slider in the game Capcom and this game will be perfectly fine. I already like EVERYTHING ELSE about the game. Fix this one terribly annoying issue!
