Great family game
I'm not one who normally writes reviews or purchases games, but I must say that I'm thrilled with the purchase of the Life board game on the iPad. It's terribly difficult to get my 3 kids, ages 7 5 and 2, to sit still for anything, but they love playing this. They will all actually stay together with minimal conflict for the entire half hour or so of play. My wife and I will hang out on the couch or in bed and play with just the two of us. Overall the gameplay is straight forward, being played the same way as the board game obviously, but there are no pieces to lose. That's worth 5 bucks in and of itself to me. Nice fun graphics, and sound effects, and easy to pick up even if you've never played the game in real life before. I'm very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for something good to bring the family together for an evening, without worrying about losing pieces. Definitely worth the price. Enjoy.
This is not life...
Dear LIFE™ Creators- have you heard of this thing called LIFE!!! Because this isn't it.
Don't get me wrong, I love playing this app. I bought it because we didn't have any board games at our thanksgiving family get-together. But, I think you should get to choose between a female or male spouse. My aunt is married to another woman, and this was her first time playing. When there was a blue peg added to the car, she was like "What if I want a pink peg?" Just saying, it's 2015, almost 2016! You would think they would change this by now. Or what if you don't want to get married? I know, it's all part of the game, but I think this especially should get fixed. Also, as a little funny add-on, if a player wants to exit the game, they should pick one of 6 cards or something like that saying how they die.(And exit the game) For example, the could be "Suicide" or "Execution." Then, they could spin a wheel determining how much each player gets of the exiting player's money. Anyways, thanks for your time! I hope you'll consider my opinions.
The Game of Life
This is a fun game but it could use some new features. Seems to function fine, though I've had one crash so far. You get simple controls, and decent sounds, a book on your life at the end which I guess shows some highlights of your gameplay.
I think some cool features would be challenges added and perhaps a counter that keeps track of total money earned and other stats, such as how many times sued or total life tiles etc, between all the games played.
Overall, pretty fun.
