“… Drawn: The Painted Tower, a charming game with an enigmatic setting, a game of haunting beauty that defies easy description – a game that does not easily fit into the convenient pigeonhole of either “Adventure” or “Casual. This game is in a class of its own…. – it is poetry.” Just Adventure
“it is unlikely that any gamer will be disappointed by this wonderful little game.” Adventure Classic Gaming

Intriguing. Captivating. Beautiful. And very very original!
I loved this game! It's such an original concept and game play (how the game is played) at first it was a bit off putting. But the game quickly becomes so exciting and beautiful that it's hard to put down. The graphics are incredible. If you've ever seen a really cool looking game cover and thought the game was going to be like that only to discover that its a top down view or role playing game and disappointment sets in. This is not that game. It is better than and game I have ever seen. Remember the movie Toy Soldiers? When they CEO is sitting at the table and says something like "can the toys do that!? Do they bust out of the box and move around? That's what I want! I'm sick of being disappointed by great commercials only to get the toy and it's a piece of crap that does none of those things". That's this game. It does everything you would expect and more. It's so hard to describe. At first I thought it was a game for small children. But that was just the built in tutorial.
$7 for a game? Cheap! You used to have to pay $40-60 for a game like this on a pc. Besides, you can try it for free. This game does not disappoint. I would suggest it to anyone that likes puzzle games and adventure. It's beautiful, fun and captivating. If some of the games are a little to hard there is a built in hint system that works quite well. I highly recommend you try then buy this game. It's wonderful!
I am a teenager and I have Autism and I played this game with my Mom, and it was awesome! I liked all the puzzles and the story about Franklin and Iris. I can't wait to play the other Drawn games, and I hope you will make more games like this! My Mom liked the music, and liked that there was a storyline instead of just pointless puzzles. It really made you think, and I liked having to go back and find things from other scenes and remember where everything was. I wish there had been more drawing puzzles. Thanks for a great game!
(From Mom--- this is the first non-arcade type game I've been able to get my son to play with me. So many of the mystery puzzles are too scary. After we get through the next two Drawn games, I guess we'll go onto Snark-Busters, the Moonfell Wood series. I'm definitely going to recommend it to the parents in our support group. I would love better descriptions of games so I can find good story games and better HOG games, or better yet, FROG games. Tired of digging through rubbish bins for dice, feathers, and umbrellas that aren't to scale. It was a lot of fun playing this with my son, and he's growing up so fast--- pretty soon he won't think it's cool to play with Mom anymore. Thank you.)
Top notch, but...
...there's some room for improvement. The artwork and story alone are mesmerizing and for that you might want to pay $7. Still, there aren't enough clues for more than half of the puzzles (plan on using the "skip puzzle" feature quite a bit). The "two-finger-gesture" navigation is arguably inconvenient (vs. a tap once to go approach most hidden object games utilize). The game was surprisingly short and the ending left me feeling short-changed. I understand there may be a sequel, but still...
The games appeal rides heavily on the artwork (vibrant color and stylized graphic novel work). Voice acting was solid and likable. There isn't a lot of animation. Much is transitionary effects from one still art picture to the next (not a real big deal to me). Eh, I'd recommend splurging just to see how cool this Alice in Wonderland-like world is. Just don't expect to be wow'd "too" much beyond that.
Incidentally, if you hate spiders, there's a scene and puzzle which will make you want to throw your iPad in horror. My wife almost destroyed the iPad for that very reason (haha)!
