Great Ap

I collect documents online to use as reference for a hobby of mine. These documents contain text, numbers, hyperlinks, and are only available online for a short period of time. One Notes has made it very easy to preserve the documents in a format I can copy/paste in to Excel creating a living document that is easily searchable and sortable. I have struggled finding an Ap that would not copy the hyperlinks as text rendering them useless. With One Notes the hyperlinks work 100% of the time.
Another great thing about One Notes is that I can save my spreadsheets to One Drive making them accessible no matter where I am. Access from my phone, laptop, desktop, or even the wife's phone.
The only trouble I have had was sometimes my spreadsheets get so large they are slow to open or edit. I started limiting them down to a couple hundred rows.
If I could figure out how to paste fractions to Excel without them formatting as a date (9/11 = 11-Sept) tried lots of things nothing works so far.
Crazy hobby but it has the potential to pay off very well one day.

Great app

I tried many notes applications since the iPhone and iPad came out; everything from Evernote, penultimate and note plus. I tried different apps trying to organize and sync my notes. I have a windows set up for work and a Mac set up for home. When I got One Note on my win laptop and then the iPhone and Mac version were updated, there was no question.

I like the functionality that one note gives me, to create multiple notebooks and tabs inside the notebooks, and multiple pages inside the tabs. It really helps me at keeping notes organized and accessible. The iPhone and iPad app work great. I would suggest for the handwriting option (similar to one note on a surface pro 3).

UPDATE: love the handwriting option but I will like that on the iPhone as well. I usually pull up my phone and take quick notes. I would love for the ability to use my finger and write a phone number or a quick address. It will be even greater if the system can recognize my hand writing and tag it for future searching.

I also like the preview that appears on notes. Great update.

All an all, a great product with still some potential.

UPDATE: it is getting better. Keep it up Microsoft.

I have to say that I tried to go back to the other apps, but I always come right back to One Note.

UPDATE:
I have it now on my iPhone, iPad, iMac and win laptop.

Five stars.

A great organization app for big boys and girls

Using an app like Evernote might be cool or hip to a minority of people. For big boys and big girls who really need a true experience that will help them stay organized, paperless, and prepared to have a important documents and notes ready in an instant at your fingertips, this app is definitely for you!

There's a reason why Microsoft software is installed on an overwhelming majority of computers in the world. They are releasing a strong suite of robust, professional apps for mobile devices that blow their competitors out of the water.

I've used the OneNote app for a few years and I've watched it mature into this excellent, feature packed application. Give it a try yourself and you'll see.
