Description

Capture your thoughts, discoveries, and ideas with OneNote, your very own digital notebook. With OneNote you can seize that moment of inspiration, take your class notes, or track that list of errands that are too important to forget. Whether you're at home, in the office, or on the go, your notes are available to you on all your devices.

-- Capture anything --
Take a picture of the whiteboard in a meeting with auto-cropping and photo enhancements. Add your PowerPoint presentation or PDF for school. Clip website articles using iOS share extension. Leave your tape recorder at home and record audio notes on-the-go. Capture it all in OneNote and add your annotations.

-- Powerful organization --
Organize your notes in a way that works best for you. Create, rename, search, sort, and copy pages, sections, and notebooks. Find your most recent notes quickly and pin the pages you use most. Secure your notes with a password and use touch ID to quickly access them.

-- Think together --
Share your notes with your friends and colleagues. Whether it's a party your planning with others, or a school project you’re working on with your group. Work together in a shared notebook at the same time.

-- Always with you --
Access your notes on your Mac, iPhone, iPad and other devices. Your notes are synced to the cloud (OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint) making it easy to access your recipe notes on your iPhone at the store, your homework on your Mac in class, or your itinerary on your iPad during your trip.

-- Check these lists --
Create to-dos to keep track of your daily errands, groceries shopping, or travel planning.

--Write & Draw on iPad ---
Scribble your notes at a conference, write math equations in class or sketch your ideas. With a variety of pen colors and settings, you can create beautiful handwritten notes and drawings. Draw with confidence with "Convert to Shapes" mode: we'll automatically convert hand drawn shapes into crisp, perfectly regular polygons and circles.

OneNote is free on iPhone and many other devices. Get started today! Download OneNote and sign in with your Microsoft Account or the account assigned to you by your work or school.

Saving my life - literally

I'm 52 and permanently disabled now with CRPS (RSD). This is a nerve disease which means I can no longer type and am now having problems with organization as well. I'm seeing many physicians and so is my cat at the moment and trying to keep everything in order has been impossible. I finally downloaded this app onto my iPad and I still haven't figured it out completely, but what a lifesaver!!! I can track everything for myself for each dr and for my cat (the vet LOVES this as he has been diagnosed with migraines and epilepsy) very easily. I'm not sure if there is a way to automatically date things, like I said I haven't figured everything out. To print I just email it to myself and then print it. That is the only thing that's missing, is being able to print certain sections and maybe automatic dating unless I just haven't figured that out yet. This app has saved my life!!!! Thank you so very much!!!

Has some problems

I use OneNote extensively on my PCs and have become completely dependent on it. On the PC, it's rock solid and does everything I need. On the iPhone, it is, as one would expect, somewhat less capable but still allows me to add items to my task lists when I'm away from my PC. Sometimes though, the iOS app does unexplainable things. For example, this morning, I lost some data and I'm pretty sure is unrecoverable.

One of my peeves with OneNote on iOS is having to "swipe up" a bunch of times to get to the bottom of a long list. There should be menu option to navigate to the bottom of any list. This morning, while swiping repeatedly to reach the bottom of a particularly long list, something went wrong. Somehow, iOS removed the page entirely. When I went to the PC, the page was gone there too. It was not in the Notebook Recycle Bin and when I searched all locations for a contained entry, OneNote found the entry but told me it
could not navigate to the selected location because it had been moved or deleted. Whatever went wrong on the iOS side corrupted the data on the PC.

So... Will I continue to use OneNote on iOS? Yes. Can I give it high marks? No! This is not a little bug, this is a huge problem and it suggest that Microsoft hasn't quite figured out the iOS programming.

One crucial missing link for the 5th star

I've brought this up before. I consider this app, as sync'd to my PC desktop version, which in turn is linked to virtually EVERYTHING on my PC, to be the "Swiss Army App" of all applications. I love it's integration with everything - as in everything can be sent and stored with incredible organizational capability to OneNote from anywhere on my PC or iPad. However, one crucial feature (for me) is missing: the ability to create an Outlook task within my iPad OneNote, as I can from within the Desktop version. On my desktop, I can creat a task next to a note and it will flow through to my Outlook Tasks, which in turn syncs with my ToDo app on my iPhone and iPad. WHY WON'T YOU GIVE ME THE CAPABILITY OF DOING THE SAME FROM THE IPAD ONENOTE APP?? That is when you will earn my 5th star.
