Exactly the game I was looking for!

I've had a long-time craving to play an old school style turn-based RPG so gave this a whirl. I grew up on Nintendo's Dragon Warrior and early Final Fantasy games. Monster RPG 2 is an absolutely perfect replica! The only thing I'd change is to already have Monster RPG 3 ready and waiting for me to start in on the next installment!!

Not Bad. Not Great Either

SOF Striker

I can tell a lot of time went into this so all due respect and kudos to the creator for making this but it's mostly just a total grindfest. It starts out hard even when you first start grinding before the first Health Point. Could use some fixing here and there but otherwise so far it's been a quite fun game when I actually get to see it and am not grinding for an hour.

I'm only in the beginning and I can tell you the battles in this game are ridiculous.

1. You get a random encounter every 2 steps you take.
2. The enemy's attacks are way over-powered.
3. Once you select either to attack, defend, run, ect, there is NO way to go back and change your decision.

Now, I'm all for difficulty don't get me wrong. But you're supossed to pace it... don't make the game ridiculous from the start. It's frustrating when every 2 steps you take you get into a random encounter with 4 enemies that deal an unfair amount of damage to you. I am so frustrated with this game I just can't play any further.

If I play further I will reveiw it again.
