Bloomberg knows how to ruin an app

Bloomberg forces you to update the app to read the newest issue. Once you update, downloading to read offline only truly works when you're on airplane mode or aren't connected to the internet. If you are connected to internet, it will basically load the article on their website, instead of just allowing you to read the issue you downloaded (which is all this app needs, not all this extra crap, such as IQ, which truly belongs in the regular Bloomberg app, but they ruined that one too). If you're connected to the internet but only have a single bar of coverage, you have to wait for the article to load, DESPITE DOWNLOADING IT TO YOUR DEVICE. For a supposedly calculating company such as Bloomberg, this is incredibly backwards.

If there is no update with the option to read downloaded issues while connected to the internet without using data and going through their poorly-integrated mobile website in the next two weeks, I won't be renewing my subscription.

Stinks

It cannot find my subscription, and tells me that it's expired when it still has two years to run. To make matters worse, it has removed all my previous, paid for, downloaded back issues. The digital people sent me to the subscription people who verified my active subscription, and are now sending me back to the "digital department." A bunch of incompetents, IMO. At least the dead tree edition gets to my mailbox, so far. Plus, the new format isn't user-friendly. I liked the older, magazine-like version. Of course, I'm only allowed to look at four articles online, because my subscription is out there in the ether.

Thumbs down on this dreck.

New version- no support

So the new version required that I log in again. And it won't activate. I pay how much for this subscription and they can't respond to a support request about a new release within 6 hours? I called their regular subscriber line and was told they were running a database update. Now what media company does a major database update the same day they release a new version and the same time as a weekly issue comes out? And what kind of database update of subscribers takes this long? Guarantee they offer better service to their terminal subscribers. Don't update until you see more positive reviews.
