Now is the time to Journal!
Amazing app. Keeping my thoughts in a journal has been super beneficial. In the past I was concerned of having one because a physical journal is not that secure. If you manage to secure it, it's not always accessible, especially in those crucial moments you want to record something. Now, our journal luxuriously syncs between all our devices and is more secure and difficult to access then ever.
Feedback: our devices are amazing and capable. Written text and pictures and ways of capturing thoughts but are ambiguous in there own way. Sometimes to capture the essence of your thoughts and ideas you need to record audio or video. To pick up on the non verbal parts of communication and thought. I started just writing in a journal, then eventually started recording voice memos and personal videos. Now entries are scattered about. Amazing app otherwise! Well done!!!
Favorite app! 😊
I write in this app everyday, it helps me cope with stress, anxiety and depression. It's just a great outlet for me, and I never have to worry about someone reading it or losing my entries!
This app is definitely the best journaling app out there. It has a simple and modern interface, syncs to Dropbox, you can use tags to organize entries, it automatically records bits of data along with your entries, (like music you're listening to, the weather, etc.) and a lot of other neat functions.
I have a few suggestions though! I'd really appreciate a function to add multiple photos
per entry, and to add video and audio. There doesn't seem to be a way to edit tags without having to change it on every entry either which is a little inconvenient. Maybe some customization options, like the theme, font colors? Just try giving users a little more freedom with their journals.
Can only do one journal
This is app is beautfiul. Only problem is that you can only do one journal. I downloaded this app because I wanted to 1)create a photojournal chronicling my two year’s old life that I could show off to family and friends and 2) in a separate journal, have private journal entrys. I purchased all available clients for this app before realizing that this isn’t possible since you can only have ONE journal. I can’t do private personal journal entries because then anyone that I hand my iPad to see the photo journal of my daughter would also have access to all my private entries.
I just can’t recommend spending this amount money on the Day One suite of apps since they only allow one journal. I could see spending .99 for the iOS and 1.99 for the desktop but certainly not what they are asking for only one journal. Therefore, it’s a 1 star rating for me since this feature request has been made by a lot of users for a long time to no avail.
