What's New in Version 1.2.1
The 1.2.1 update fixes the anti-gravity score recording issue introduced in the 1.2 update that contained:
• 15 New levels in all new 'Upside Down' level pack.
• New gravity flipping element.
• A little surprise for those of you who can't get enough Feed Me Oil.
On second thought.......
In short, this game deserves all the attention it gets. Originally I bought this for my iPod touch nearly a year ago and I did not find it enjoyable. It was just too frustrating to get 3 stars (somewhat perfectionist). So I left it on my iPod touch but it received little attention. Fast forward to now and for some reason I knew I wanted it on my new iPad. I was surprised to see this (HD version) on sale but I quickly snatched it up and tried it once again. This time around, it seemed more fun and getting all the stars seemed possible. maybe the bigger screen allows you to get the tools where you want them to and the iPad version has an advantage over the iPhone/iPod touch version.
It is still a very challenging game and requires thought and perseverance to get those 3 stars. Even the basic hints won't help you with those. But they can give guidance as to how to approach the level using fewer tools. I'm a fan of a game with cute graphics but you won't find them here. In fact the monster that you have to feed oil to are very ugly, unlike Cut the Rope's On Nom. But maybe the ugliness is a representation of how gritty you must be to get all the stars. As far as the music to the app, I think it helps keep you into it as opposed to playing without any background music. So far, I've completed the first 2 packs with every star. It's amazing that I've earned more stars in 3-5 days on my iPad than 18-24 months on my iPod touch
An Interesting Take on Physics Puzzles
Feed Me Oil is one of the more interesting titles I have played as of late. Gameplay is quite challenging at times, and this keeps me coming back for more after each puzzle I solve. The way the game is open-ended to each solution makes things interesting when trying to work through each level, and this is something that I particularly enjoyed. Using liquid physics in a near perfect fashion, the game's each and every level challenge the player at every turn, and this gameplay aspect is something that I find to be highly enjoyable.
Artistically, the game's hand-drawn style is very nice to look at on my iPad, and the quirky design of the giant creatures awaiting their fill of oil always leaves me wondering what the next one will look like. The game's simple tunes that play during each level are easy on the ears to say the least, and they complement the visuals very well.
Overall, Feed Me Oil is a solid puzzle game that I highly recommend fans of the genre give a try. Here's looking forward to more great levels in the future!
Feed me oil review
First of all, this game is a knock off of ''Where's My Water'' by Disney. This game and that game has the same concept of using your strategy ability to get water, or oil in this case to the ''monsters'' or whatever those things are. It's also kinda a rip off because, you think that since it's free, some people including me, might think that you won't have to end up paying $0.99 to the cheats to finish the level. This is a game of strategy, that includes some brain power, which when I play a game on my iPad 2, I want to play a silly pointless game that's fun to me. When you buy the cheats the levels go by fast which I like because, I like to master games. If I didn't buy the cheats, then I would have deleted the app but, I'm glad I didn't because, it keeps me busy in the car or whenever I'm bored. I also like how, you use different elements to get the oil to the host and you get stars for completing each level. Also, how you get free levels for collecting stars. Overall, a pretty fun game that, in my opinion deserves as many stars as you dream but I gave it four. Fun game, easy concept. :D
