At first glance, I was concerned about the low-poly graphics, though I understood the motivation to target as many devices as possible.
However, after some play, I can see that the somewhat restricted specifications are being handled extremely artfully, akin to what you might remember from a very appealing Dreamcast game.
Additionally, the voice acting and characters are great! Better than any other iOS RPG that I've played. Gameplay was easy to learn, and the environments are appealing.
My take-away impression is that this the birth of a really strong franchise. I was happy to buy the second chapter of this really sturdy game.
It might not be cutting-edge, but it's just plain good. I hope there are many more chapters to come.
Come on really!!!
Why would you even charge money for the second chapter of the game, it was just as short as the first and not worth 99cents. 20 minutes not even that to beat the game. It makes no sense they could have easily added more content, more story line. This games been on App Store for a while and almost purchased it in the past and if they don't add more chapters or do something this will be a uninstall that I regret more than any game purchased.
It won't win any awards, but there are worse ways to spend your time. The graphics aren't bad, but not good either. They remind me of the original Quake game way back when. The story has quite a bit of humor and the action is paced pretty good. It didn't take long to finish the game but I would like to see a sequel with better graphics and more story.
