I just downloaded the app and right off the bat I LIKE the helpful videos -- the quality and clarity is very good and the information, in general, is good to know whether a novice or an expert in the kitchen!! The recipes are broken into seven categories and not very difficult so the neophyte cook won't be intimidated and the experienced cook has "quick and easy" go tos.
Not all but some recipes show up under two different categories, for example, Crispy Teriyaki Chicken with Rice is listed under both Chicken and Stir-Fries so it's NOT you're getting DIFFERENT recipes in the Stir-Fries and Super Easy categories, which can be preceived as deceptive!! My suggestion: either REMOVE these two categories or REMOVE the duplicate (recipes) and REPLACE them with category specific recipes -- as this is named "The First Real Kitchen Cookbook", super easy (recipes) is the selling point so maybe that category can be removed all together!!!!
Also there's no "save to favorites" option so hopefully that will be added in the first update -- if these changes are made in future updates and more recipes are added, this app can very easily go from an OK/Good app to a REALLY GREAT app!!!
Great app wish there were more recipes!
I love it so far! I like the section about how to pick the best meat, fruit and veggies from the grocery store. I've always wanted to know the secret to picking a good cantaloupe. The only drawback to this app is that I wish there were more recipes. The ones they offer are delish but there's not enough. I guess that means i have to buy the book. The videos are very helpful, nice touch! Great for my daughter!
I just love this little ap! Great recipes, the authors are adorable, and the layout of the ap is easy to use. I'll def recommend to all of the new grads I know who are finding themselves faced with their first real kitchens!
