Not much fun.

This is pretty much a HOG only. There are a couple of mini games but there is no logic or problem solving involved, just trial and error until you stumble on the answer. The new and somewhat interesting difference between this and other hidden object games is that there's no hint button, although you get the same effect by using a tool called an object finder. Honestly, the most engaging part of the game is the free trial portion. So play that, but don't buy the full game. It goes downhill fast after the free part. When you play the free portion, ask yourself how annoyed you'll be with the hammer, brush, and lighter tools after ten hidden object puzzles. They drove me nuts. As you play, you'll quickly learn that anything that sparkles needs a hammer, brush, or lighter to break, burn, or dust, in order to get the hidden object. I was bored to tears after three locations and had to stop playing. Sorry Big Fish, this one is a loser.

Sub par

I had high hopes for this, but I am so glad I played the free part first instead of just buying it. Actually, I'm not even going to continue with the free part, because after visiting three rooms from this Civil War thing, I'm not having any fun. The whole set up is strange...the items are tiny and so hard to see that half the time I found myself just randomly tapping the screen until something shoots towards the object list. It happens so quickly that I don't even know what item I accidentally found. I guess I am earning money each time I find an object but I don't know why. I almost feel like the jumbled story of gameplay was not adequately explained. The narrator's voice is grating. It's too bad, because I think someone tried hard to make this good, but it just comes across as odd and disjointed. If you want something better, go with Awakening, Flux, the Void, or that new Poe game. Even Kate Arrow had its good moments.

Has Potential

It is a fairly straight forward hidden object game. So far I haven't found any puzzles. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game since it kept crashing in the Paris Library, but that meant I had to start the game over from the beginning. They don't have the usual Hint button but they do have a Tool you can use to find objects. In darker scenes, objects can be harder to find. Also in each scene is a Cache Object to find which you can get a hint about in the top right of the screen, over your list of objects. They didn't tell me about it but by playing around I found it. What I do like about the game is that I can play it without hints from a Walkthrough.
