Just finished install of Kaspersky Antifivus at 188.8.131.52 (Maverick) support level
Just finished installing the latest version of the Kaskersky Antivirus for Mac at the 184.108.40.206 version, was installed from the Apple Tunes website and the install went clean. The software was installed on a MacBook Pro with 1TB memory, 1GB hard disk, and no applications running to cause interference with the FULL scan I was going to do. Prior to doing the FULL scan, I checked the Preferences tab to see if any options needed to be changed and made them (like not using a PROXY), noticed that installed database was back level or out of date so updated to the most current database available of 12/1/2013 at 2.57.00PM, then ran the FULL scan on this system. The scan took about 55-minutes, scanned 633,779 objects, found no threats detected. Went back to the various options, located the one where I wanted all new programs to be scanned as well for any threats there, the default threats which were already set for Trojans, Anti-Virus, etc were already set, set the option to start the application at system startup rather than at some day and time, this just completed the setup I went through. So far things see to be stable but will be monitoring it for “undocumented features”. I suspect that like the other versions of this software that I have installed on Windows XP and Windows 7 64-bit you will be notified at times that the database is out of date and have to be refreshed which you should do, and at other times it kinda seems to do it on it’s own. Hope things continue to go well, now if it would only be available for the iPhone—Wishlist.
i can not update malware definition database and always a message "Databases is obsolete” appear
