Walk Tracker is a GPS based tracking app for people who want to keep track of their walking fitness goals.
STATS AND MAPS
Walk Tracker tracks speed, distance, altitude, and time. It also gives you a map showing where you have been while you are saving a workout.
When viewing saved workouts your route shows up on the map color coded by speed. It shows where you went the fastest (red) and where you were slowest (blue).
Don't want to look at the screen every few minutes? You can have the app tell you updates on your progress either every mile or every five minutes.
PAUSE AND RESUME
Pause the workout to catch your breath or chat with a friend and then resume when you get back to it.
Share your workout with your friends on Facebook with our easy to use integration.
You can easily see your stats in real time with your current speed being the focal point.
VIEW TIME PERIODS
See the stats for the last workout, last week, current month, or all time with the touch of a button as well as the ability to choose a specific track.
You can switch between 3 different map types including street, hybrid, and satellite view.
The supports both standard and metric units.
Note: Continued use of the GPS will reduce battery life.

Not working anymore
Everytime I try to use it , the app gives me an error message stating the GPS quality is low and that the tracker will only work with Location Manager turned on, well it is on , I have 602mbs free in the RAM, the phone has 15.8 gigs of free space , location services is activated and my AT&T iPhone 5 is showing 5 bars of excellent receiving and the 4G is slamming good , but that the app does not see that the location services is turned on and is functional.
Both versions , free and pro are showing the same error message. The phone has had its most recent update installed I O S 8.1.2.
Works well, but is a battery killer!
I wanted the app to track time and distance for my walks and it works great for that. I was surprised to see how badly it punished my iPhone 5S battery though, which started above 80%, but was under 10% when I got home. Use a Mophie battery case or other battery extender with.
New to running
Basic and easy to use. Tracks my distance and time and shows a map of the area run and uses colors to notate faster and slower parts.
