Fix for the crash some users have been getting.
Amazing game! But...
UPDATE: thanks for the update, but i still have the same problem as below! This game is one of my favorites! But with one of the new updates, it created a bug where my character can't move or shoot anything. The other robots keep shooting and moving, and I can use the time-slower power up, but the grenades and missiles don't work and I can't duck, reload, shoot, move or attack at all! Until a new update comes out to fix this, I can't play this game anymore. :( also, until I finish unlocking all the storyline of epoch 1, I won't purchase epoch 2. So please fix this!
To everyone who is looking at purchasing this game:
It is a very cool game! It is kinda slow on my iphone 4, and sometimes the gear that you get at the end of a level isn't better than what you currently have equipped, but it is still a very cool game!
This is a fantastic game, but I can't recommend this to any serious players right now. There is currently a game-breaking bug that whenever I get to a certain point on the boss fight on ultra I can't move or shoot and I'm simply slaughtered. Because of this bug I can't unlock the rest of the intercepts.
As far as the rest of the game, it's very entertaining and grinding is limited if you're good at the game. You can coast your way through the game until you hit ultra, then just grind the first level because it pays around 1 million with the random item.
All in all, once this critical bug is fixed the game is incredible.
Epoch is reasonably fun for the first playthrough of its small level set, but it gets repetitive fast and there are better ways to spend time than grinding through repeated plays. The rate of upgrade progression is too slow unless you pay to fast forward it like all microtransaction games, but then you're essentially paying to play the game less - which says something about how entertaining it *isn't*.
Also, still randomly crashes on my Air despite an update that was supposed to address that.
