Helpful for students - need printing to work better though.
My students love this app! I'd like to see it be able to print everything in the boxes, rather than what "visually fits." You can write lengthy notes in the bubbles, but anything outside the lines doesn't show up on the printed copy, so if you've done a group project, only the person with the iPad can scroll and see the extended notes. Since my school isn't 1-1, we need printed hard copies for writing the final draft.
Also, an idea bubble (main topic in the middle, with bubbled ideas around it) would be great for making vocabulary bubble organizers.
In all, I like the app, and am glad I downloaded it!
needs some work
I like the idea of this app and it is very helpful but on certain templates for instance the summarize one you can't get between the blocks at the top because the current block being typed in covers the others and there isn't any way to click on the next block without going back to the template again and then it crashes every time. This only happens with the templates that have smaller boxes on the top. Please fix as it frustrates the students to not like to use the app.
Love this app, but...
I love using this app in all content areas in my 6th grade classroom. However, for both this app and its sequel, Tools 4 Students 2, my students have randomly had their work disappear, even when they've accidentally exited the app during class. Otherwise, I'd rate both of these apps with 5 stars. Also, we really appreciate the ability to open the document in other apps! Thank you for that improvement!
