Even Ms. Pasternak would approve

I am going to report this developer and Apple to the FTC for taking our children hostage. Both Apple and this programmer (I know of 30 other programmers) build these programs and push them out as free only to place renew/refresh barriers that the toddlers can't navigate. What happens is children start to cry when their games no longer work; after they have learned and bonded with them; parents quickly respond by entering their password and spending $1.99 to stop their kids from crying and the the developer and Apple make lots of money $1 at at time. And, many tear drops later, when children are not only unknowingly exposed to sick capitalism they are building unnecessary negative trust learning issue experiences that could/would have otherwise have a potentially positive learning experience. This will stop I promise U APPLE!

TO exemplify the issue is the prescribed review provided by the developer. PLEASE READ.

Great program. It teaches music on a truly sliding scale. The kids learn at least three dimensions of spacial, mechanical, and musical learning at the same time. As I watched the program run and saw the multi-educational aspects of this learning tool I was impressed! A first in childhood development tools.

Getting better and BETTER

When I first downloaded this game it was for our children, but I quickly found it was too difficult for them and they were getting frustrated. I found that the grading system was, at times, too difficult for me also. HOWEVER, with the recent update the grading system has been changed and achieving a 3-star score has become less difficult (often still a challenge, and challenge is good... impossible is not).
ONLY complaint not fixed is the piano mode, when playing the song on the piano really wish it would show the music staff and notes to help the kids learn on the staff as well, would also help get better star rating on the songs for that portion.

Good app, fair execution...

My son and I enjoy this app, but I was frustrated with the fact that despite spending $5 to get "all songs" we didn't get the practice versions of the songs! That's another $5! Now, I don't want to debate the worth of the app or practice songs, but the designers need to be clear about what we're getting, and not getting when we purchase an app. A bit greedy IMO.

This app also crashed every time we tried to download the purchased songs, but then we got them when we relaunched. An annoyance, just like the fact that every time we play a song we're nagged to rate. Well, this is the rating you get when you nag for one.

Despite our frustration, this is doing a very nice job of teaching my son piano and keeping him interested...
