Sum of its parts kills it
This game is terrible; it has a good concept, but ruins it with poor level design, frustrating controls and blocky graphics/stuttering with fast motion.
Your character is vulnerable to water, but good luck with noticing water before you touch it.
Your character is also magnetic, and tapping magnetizes you, but the game provides no cues as to when you will be magnetized. If you tap and you were magnetized, you be demagnetized and fall to your doom. But you don't know if you will be magnetized coming out of a ring, so you never know if you need to tap.
The game provides you with a joystick, but it would be much better without it. Why you can't drag the character instead is beyond me.
The character is also agonizingly slow, making it extremely frustrating to navigate levels in any sensible amount of time.
And finally the graphics are NOT HD, despite what the name of the app implies; the graphics are pixelated on my retina iPad, as though they are being doubled from a non-retina size.
So much for this game, it's hard to come up with any redeeming qualities for it. I can't justify giving it better than 1 star.
Unlike anything I have played
This one of the most unique games you can find on the App Store right now. It may be a bit repetitive at times and is not for everyone, but the beautiful visuals and soothing soundtrack makes it an app I won't soon forget. Download!!!
One of those rare games where the artwork really draws you in. The controls are cleverly designed and once you get the hang of it, it's incredibly simple to pick up and play. Really addictive and great for a quick fix.
