Customer Reviews

Room for improvement, but the best file explorer out the.

It's is amazing the dearth of file managers on the iOS App Store. And the quality of file managers available is abysmal. That said, File Manger is the best of the pack. It is simple and designed with the intention of browsing and viewing files from a broad spectrum of sources, including many major cloud storage providers and hards drives of wirelessly networked computers. Nothing is omitted that the user needs for a convenient and efficient experience. The app could improve in many areas, but I get the impression that this has more to do with the limited size and resources of the development team than anything else.

Fast LAN Access to my NAS

This was super easy to connect to my NAS and to DropBox. My one comment is that it would be really nice to be able to edit metadata on JPEG images such as 0,1,2,3,4 or 5 stars or adding/removing keywords like you can do with Adobe Bridge. That may be too much to ask within the scope of this project but you guys get all five stars for delivering what your description promises and making this so easy and fast!!

Works with Linux ... transfer speeds could be optimized

I own an iPad but it is my only Apple device. My life is on Linux ... debian Jessie, Ubuntu trusty, and Mint Qiana. I dont Dropbox, Facebook, or Googl+. Rather I have 40 years of photos on my Linux boxes. I wanted to be on my living room couch and access all those photos. I had to turn on Samba and share my photos directory. Having done that, this app immediately found my phtos. Transfer is still inefficient. On the fly compression would be a good addition.
