Great game!

I've played over a year now and love the actual game without add on features or coins or having to pay for anything that allows one to get more speed or points. These add on features always make every few games freeze and you have to turn your entire iPad off and then on again. This is presently the case when playing every 10th or so challenge game. They will finally fix the problem but for a while it's annoying. Also it was too bad when they converted (increased) the smaller iPad playing screen which causes all iPad players to scroll longer distances and lose valuable time. They need to allow 3 adjustable screen sizes for those who wish to scroll faster on the iPad. Right now iPhone users have the advantage with smaller playing screens. I wish they'd dump all add-ons. Then I'd rate the game 5.

A minor quibble

Ruzzle is great and I personally love all the new stuff in the update. The tournament mode lets me literally play over and over till my heart's content WITH an actual end goal (as opposed to practice mode) and without having to find someone to play with. However -

I know some people cheat, and it has spilled over into the tournaments. Each round is just one minute. There is NO WAY anyone, I don't care who, can score 5500 points in one minute, even with an added multiplier (which appears on a random letter and not, as you might think, in the most helpful spot) and/or 20 extra seconds. I've played four tournaments now, I think, and this week's is the first one where the #1 spot only scored about 2600 points, which IS doable.

I also feel the tournament should be populated with players of similar skill level, and as of now I'm not convinced they are (not taking into account the cheaters, obvs).

Anyway, the game developers have got to care more about blocking these cheating apps. In the game as in life, they are not fair to those of us who play clean.

Great game!!! Childhood memories...

I grew up playing Boggle, a similar game just with physical cubes in a grid. It was and still is my favorite game, but now that I'm grown up with a job and a marriage, I don't get to play with my family as much as I used to. Ruzzle lets me play with my mom and sisters like the old days, even though we're miles apart. I also like the tournament side of Ruzzle because it allows you to play against others you don't know and who are possibly better than you. It causes you to improve your game, versus playing for enjoyment against your family.
