Excellent, but needs work.
This game is everything you would expect of a 7$ IOS game- great mulitplayer, exciting campaign, and tons of content. However, recently, I have been quit out of the app because of data overload, often in the middle of multiplayer, and it is becoming increasingly annoying. Also, lag on multiplayer is becoming an issue, since I play this on an iPad 2 and have not had any problems until now. Some of the weapons need fixing, or balancing for that matter.
First, nerf either the range or increase the recoil on the Compakt-665 to make it less appealing to players since it is severely overused.
Second, lower the recoil on the Charbtek-28 with the mobility, so this becomes a support weapon like the real life M27 IAR counterpart was put into service for.
Third, either increase the fire rate or increase the damage on the semi automatic sniper rifles (E24 and CTK-12) so they become more appealing.
Fourth, reduce the recoil on the KR-200, to make it more appealing as an anti-sniper weapon.
Finally, the THOR GLP should come as an undermount weapon instead of a secondary weapon due to the small splash radius and slow reloading time.
I know that this is a lot for Gameloft to take in for consideration, but I really do think that this will affect the game in a positive way, and be the most appealing First Person Shooter game on the IOS market. If anyone agrees with me, take a minute to drop a 4-5 star rating and suggest more minor changes to the game.
First off, let me state that I am adamant about this game - it has great graphics, an amazing campaign, and best of all the multiplayer. I strongly recommend this game to anyone on edge about buying, and though some of the other comments are saying that you are forced to pay for items in the game, this is untrue, so don't worry about spending more than $7 . I have maxed out my character multiple times, and have never spent any money past the initial $7. Even though this games is incredible there are always flaws.
One of the biggest flaws I have noted, is that I am kicked of multiplayer randomly, and the games says, "You have lost connection" even when I know my wifi is working properly. Another, is that sometimes it won't find me a game to join, so I have to cancel the request and retry, usually multiple times. And in the multiplayer, the weapons are becoming to powerful! Though I love the COMPAKT 665 and use it all the time, but I am sad to say that this weapon is way to strong, and since it is easy to buy any gun, practically everyone owns and uses it. In the multiplayer now, everyone dies way to fast, and it takes away some of the strategy to the game. Now, you can barely look around a corner to see where someone is without getting killed in a millisecond. And it become more luck than skill when you come face to face with someone.
Great game... But here are still issues...
Gameloft has made a game that is just as great a its predecessors (i.g. Fallen Nation, Black Pegasus ) and with the new meltdown update, it's even better than ever before, with a good balance between guns, and interesting and very complicated maps! But as I said there are some issues, and not with the gameplay, which is fine. Just that this game can be too laggy to enjoy. The amazing graphics that his game has can be too much to bear on the CPU. There isn't enough random access memory (RAM) to keep the game steady. I have a perfectly good iPod Touch (4th generation) and it can't support the game! It crashes all too often not only in multiplayer, but numerous times in the campaign as well! I have tried to delete and re-download the game twice now, hoping it would change something, but to no avail... So I ask you Gameloft, for a simple update that allows players to control the graphics being displayed in someways to hopefully fix this issue. Or if here are any other ways to do it that would be great as well, but I think it may be easiest to just let players configure their own graphics, changing it to a setting that would allow them to enjoy the game, without any crashes or issues of lag. Thank you in advance.
