Please read(I should really give a 2 star)
Look I absolutely love Publix cause it has taken great care of me as an employee, but I do not love shopping here,*only for pastries absolutely love the bakery section❤️*, I prefer to shop at Kroger because I feel like I actually save money there, especially on gas with my Kroger points, while you guys might not plan to do any gas savings or even partner with any gas station for that purpose, please take a look at kroger's shopping app and take some pointers from it, like making it much easier to add coupons within the Publix app instead of being redirected to the website and printing out coupons to walk with. You could also consider getting a Publix coupon card ( or utilize Nfc at your checkouts for a tap to discount option if you guys wanna save on the card production cost) that shoppers can just add their coupons on from their mobile phone and all they have to do is let the cashier swipe it to receive their coupon savings. I hope you consider all I have said, I will keep this app for the next few months awaiting an update that will please me and actual make me start doing my grocery shopping at the company that I work for and love..❤️
Nice Start, But Needs Quite a Bit of Work
In the past, I’ve used the application to obtain contact information for my local Publix store. I’ve also used it to place an order at the deli while I was out and about running my errands. This past weekend, our family decided to try out one of the Publix Aprons recipes and it was fantastic to be able to add the ingredients for the recipe to a shopping list. What was even more fantastic was how the application grouped the items based upon the location in the store where I could find them!
The big problem that I had was that EVERY time my phone would go to sleep or if I inadvertently pressed the power button and shut my phone off, I would have to log back into the application. It was so incredibly annoying and frustrating that I will NEVER use it for that purpose until that use case improves. If you want me to log into the application one time, that’s fine. But this is a grocery store application. There is absolutely no good reason to require re-authentication!
I will agree with other reviews that I’ve read where it would be good to have digital coupon integration built directly into the application.
Oh come ON!
Okay, decent app for browsing the weekly sales and coupons. But requiring customers to print out the listed coupons instead of offering the ability to use the coupons electronically!? What is the point of the app if I just have to go to your website to print coupons!? Come on man, it's 2015!!! Whenever I swipe my card at the register, it asks me to enter my phone number for electronic coupons I may have stored. Why on EARTH isn't that integrated into your app!? I love you Publix, but you're waaaay behind the times. Your competitors are leaving you in the dust where this is concerned. I would prefer you to leap ahead, but at this point you just need to catch up!
