What's New in Version 2.3.3
The functionality and look of your iPhone app is now tailored for iPad!
Decent, a lot better than no app, but needs attention
This is an app interface to the wrike online software, the latter which is great in most respects. I'd give the online wrike four stars (out of five) after trying many such "to do/getting things done" apps for myself, my team, and my students. (So far I haven't found a five star app for this, maybe I'll build one myself... Though you'd think with so many options there would be something better!)
So for this ipad/iPhone app, I like the overall interface, it's fairly easy to use. But there are bizarre omissions and un intuitive parts, such as the complexity of assigning a folder to your task. It's way more clunky than it needs to be. And the interface for adding a note to a task is HORRIBLE. It doesn't work half the time, and when it does, it overlaps the text that you're typing with the menu bar so that it's nearly impossible to read or select. And there are no formatting options.
There are other examples like that, but I'll spare you. This is more like a "beta" app than a fully developed one. It would be fine if they updated it frequently, but they do not... So I gave it three stars because I appreciate having an app... But there's work to be done.
Other reviews are ridiculous
I am assuming the negative reviews on here are people who are either using devices that are so old they don't properly support the app or from competitors like Asana trying to diss Wrike. I just spent the better part of a month reviewing just about every project management program on the market to implement one at our small company of 15 people. Wrike won hands down. Ok, the app itself is not that robust but it gets the job done to link to your Wrike account and your task list if you are using the desktop version. That is what it's mean for. Wrike is not as huge as Asana but let me tell you their customer service ROCKS. I feel bad that their App Store reviews make them look bad so I am adding my two cents. Check out their website to get the real story and read the online positive reviews of their program. I am very happy with them.
Such a disappointment
While I love the web interface and used it extensively in my last project, this app is such a disappointment. First of all, it took upward of ten tries, reboots etc before it would start. It always hangs in boot up if there is no internet connection. When finally I got it to work the interface looked nice enough. But that impression only lasts for all of 20 seconds before you realize - the navigation is horrible, there is almost no functionality compared to the web app, any one of the few changes that you actually can do requires too many click throughs. And, on top of that the limitations imposed on you in the "freemium" mode are all too crippling. This app is useless for anything other than possibly viewing an already existing project plan. There is no way you can make this app work by itself. Such a shame for an otherwise promising startup.
