Too pushy, but entertaining
The questions are fun and very similar to the TV game show. However, the player must use coins in order to play. Coins can be earned by reviewing ads, playing bonus rounds, and purchasing coins through various options. Big negative...I am currently engaged in five games, three of which have been "idle" for over two days, waiting on my opponent's turn. There is no option to end a game due to inactivity; at least none that I can find. These inactive games require coins to play, which are not refunded when the game remains idle.
As mentioned by another reviewer, the app is way too pushy regarding purchases. After every turn, the player is encouraged to purchase coins. As a new player, I clicked on several game links, most of which prompted me to make a purchase. Almost everything costs to play. I'm unsure if a premium version is available, and if so, would most of the "pay to play" links go away.
If you don't mind waiting several days to complete a game, then go for it. Otherwise, you'd be better off choosing a similar app.
Great game, well done
I can understand some of the complaints, but it does not detract from playing the game. Once I earn 40 coins, I play. If I wait until the exit day, I usually have about 110 coins. You do not have to buy any coins if you wait. Yes, sometimes when I open the app, it just closes, so I open it again, and it works. The main thing I don't like is that you have to use Facebook to have a photo or funny-face icon on your userid. And, yes, it would be nice to resign from inactive opponents, but, the good thing is once you finish a game, there's always another opponent. Love the questions in the game. It's fun and challenging. I find that after playing for a month or so, you end up with regulars who always rematch. It's my favorite game app.
Fun game but......
This is a fun game, especially if you like trivia games. However, it does crash A LOT.....and yes I have all the updates. Each game costs 30 coins & you also have to purchase your lifelines before you start the round. I think that's a bit steep and that's not counting all the in-app purchases. I wish they would change the lifelines so you could decide to use them during the round, for instance there are some rounds where you may not need to use a lifeline and there are others where you may need more than one, but at 5, 10, & 15 coins to purchase the lifelines, you can go through coins quickly! There are other trivia games that aren't so costly and just as fun......
