FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST—A pick-up-and-go game with massive battles!
■Take part in intense combat with the largest parties in FINAL FANTASY history!
FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST is a casual and light-hearted game in which you continuously battle enemies to advance through the many available stages. Defeat foes to level up, which in turn grants you character slots to add more and more members to your party.
Simply tap or drag your finger over a character to unleash an attack. Touch multiple characters in quick succession to experience exhilarating and fast-paced battle unlike anything you’ve ever played before!
Once every three hours, the Fever option will appear. Once activated, you will be able to attack without waiting for ATB gauges to refill as long as the chocobo-themed music is playing. Deal as much damage as you can before the battle fever ends!
■Featuring nostalgic pixel art and music from throughout the FINAL FANTASY series!
Progress through the game to unlock over 20 different classic jobs, including warrior, monk, red mage, and more! Each job brings its own special abilities to the battleground, where you will encounter timeless FINAL FANTASY foes such as behemoths, bombs, and cactuars. At the end of each stage waits a harrowing encounter with a fiendish FINAL FANTASY boss!
The game’s musical library comes packed with over 30 songs from the series, the majority of which are themes from battle. The perfect soundtrack to listen to as you crush your enemies and see them driven before you!
■Track your collection of every character, enemy, and item with in-game catalogs!
The game’s three catalogs will keep a record of every character that joins your ranks, every enemy you encounter, and every item you obtain. Collect them all and open the catalogs to flip through the nostalgia whenever you like!
■Take part in leaderboards and social networking features!
Global leaderboards will rank players based on stats such as the amount of damage dealt in the course of a single Fever. You will also be able to track progress and other feats using the game’s achievement system. Social networking features allow you to post directly to Twitter, and reward you for doing so by granting additional member slots. Tweet away to increase the size of your party for an even more exhilarating experience!
■Purchase premium characters and new game worlds!
The in-game shop offers access to 35 famous characters from a number of FINAL FANTASY titles. Each purchase ensures you will receive a new, random character, and FINAL FANTASY characters who before existed only as polygons have been redrawn here in original pixel art form! Which powerful favorites will join your party? You are also able to purchase additional game stages from FINAL FANTASY VII, FINAL FANTASY X, and FINAL FANTASY XIII. Board airships bound for these new worlds and expand your adventures and collections!

A mini FF compendium!!
Firstly, anybody complaining about a lack if depth completely misinterpreted what game this is! These poor fools deserve four dollars of grief! It's obviously not a traditional FF and its not the first time SquareEnix has derived from their franchise for a MOBILE app! If your played it for a few hours you haven't scratched the surface yet! I see this as a very welcome evolution of the Voice Fantasy app, and FF:ATB is en even better time killer. The game was designed so you can attack a boss for a few minutes on your train ride, then by the time your on your lunch break you unleash your fever to finish him off! I'm not even a huge FF fanboy, but I'm lovin' the amount of data on jobs/enemies/weapons— can't wait to explore Midgard and see new jobs!!
It's not a full fledged FF installment of course— I don't know what you people are thinking, there's plenty of those in the App Store. This one is for quick fun, simplicity, and cats of course! If you're not sold on that wait for a .99 sale!
Only one suggestion comes to mind: Make enemies sometimes drop an item like Phoenix Down to revive a party member and keep the fight alive (I.e. Voice Fantasy)
*update* I've had the app since it came out some time ago... Go figure! I only spent maybe $10 extra! (new areas + a few bonus characters to reward myself)
Now I'm rockin' Magitek Armor and Chocobos in my ranks!! Plus the legendary Red xiii! All of the battle animations are exhilarating! Happy buyer right here.
Has the makings of something great but ruined by greed
SquareEnix surprisingly comes off as the most greedy app developer I've seen, with the exception of the Deus Ex one, with this one being a masterpiece of pay (and pay and pay and pay) to play insanity. Sad thing is I'm sure some talented and creative people were involved in creating something that will never be able to reach its potential except for with a few people willing to pay prices far beyond the apps value. You could buy the latest game in the FFXIII franchise for what it would cost to unlock all content in this app.
If prices were more reasonable more people would go for premium content but a dollar for a random character out of dozens is just special ed. If I could pay $5 one time and have everything be unlockable through gameplay I would and so would many others but instead they'll be getting $0 from me. By trying to charge as much as possible for anything and everything they lose a lot of business.
And the Gil we earn in game can't buy or unlock anything- not even non-premium content-which makes this even more annoying. It's only used for scoreboards and guess what- it's fully loaded with cheaters with a maxed out impossible score. Why invest in this when they won't even solve that.
This game has all the fun of someone attractive asking you out on a date and you plan on buying them a nice dinner, but when you meet them at the restaurant they tell you they charge $100 by the hour or $500 for the night.
Seems like All the Bravest Aren't Many
At first, this was a premium freemium game. And many people hollered nasty remarks at SE to worsen their rep after the Final Fantasy XIII and XIV games out. Problem was that they didn't know how to play it, and all they did was make fun of the sliding character gameplay along with "exploiting" fans to buy their favorite characters with money vestments. Well, I'll try my best to give you a quality review and a brief synopsis of how to play this game.
Touch a character and it attacks. The character will recover with its ATB (action time battle) gauge and it will be ready to attack again. Rinse and repeat until the foes are vanquished. But, you also need to keep track of your units since one attack from your foes defeats them. Those enemies also have a variety of ways to attack: single and specialized AoE (area of effect).
Now, one may notice that you are unable to defend a monster's attack. While that's true, you can evade them. When it looks like a monster is about to attack your unit, quickly touch the character to attack and evade your foe's assault.
Once your team is defeated you'll have to wait for another randomly generated team to show. Or you could spend $ on a quick revival of your previously KO'd team.
