Not well done, not worth the money

Canttinkofanickname

I occasionally buy this type of game from g5e, but this one was definitely not worth $7 and I don’t see myself playing it again. I enjoyed the Davy Jones series so I thought I’d try another one, but this has none of the quality of other adventure games g5e has put out. The puzzles, when they rarely appear, are so easy I kept winning “prizes” for finishing in under 1 minute. The hidden object scenes are likewise really easy and can be finished in 1-2 minutes. The story isn’t good, the ending is fairly ridiculous, navigation is very poor (can’t use the map to navigate so you have to tediously go through every scene to get somewhere), the game is very short, and unlike other g5e games doesn’t come with any bonus game. Maybe less than 2 hours of playing time in total. All-in-all, probably not going to buy anymore from this company without testing the free version first.

Good game, worth the money - am definitely buying more

It took me a little bit to get the hang of it. There’s not a lot of directions, which is part of the puzzle/challenge, but once I figured out the basics I really enjoyed it. This was my first G5 game, I just finished it and have since bought 2 more. It takes some time - I was afraid that it would be too short, but I think the lenght is just right. I’d consider myself an average player (considering that most of us playing these types of games are pretty good at solving puzzles), and it wasn’t too easy like some other games out there. It could have been a little harder in some places, but I admit I had to use the hint button a few times when I just couldn’t figure out where I should go/look next.

Different, can be fun, and frustrating too.

This type of game reminds me of a couple of games I played on the original NES. It is one of those games where you simply have to find out what they want you to do in a picture like setting. They are fun until you get stuck on looking for whatever it is they want you to find, then you start to breath heavy, feel uncomfortable, and then you get the feeling that all you want to do is to stop playing. Yes there is a hint button, but using that makes you feel stupid. But thanks to the fact that this one has great graphics, the underwater aspect is cool, and they try to scare you a little, I am glad that I bought it.
