What's New in Version 2.0.1
Cool new features and fun to be found in our latest update!
– New St. Paddy's Day Party levels
– New Piñata Party levels where you take on zombies from all worlds
– A little polish to improve game stability
Here's what I would do...
The update made the game a bit slower, so it doesn't run as smoothly. But the Zombot Plank Walker was fun. How do you play the St. patties Day levels, though?
Also, you guys still need to make costumes optional, it just makes the game feel...unoriginal. I
It's a shame how the game started off as really good. It isn't as good as it was before, as you could tell. What I would to make the game better:
-Make it faster when you're not using turbo speed
-Update maps back to the original but change all the levels with goals (Don't let zombies trample flowers, etc) back to stars. And change all mini games into their own sections. Keep Gargantuar levels and Zomboss levels, too. (I don't really care how you change the map, just remove the floating platforms and straight line thing and bring back stars) Maybe bring back gates.
-Make costumes optional
-Fix to make smoother
-Fix the game to make Pinãta Party a bit easier
-Add new worlds
-Bring back pinch and get rid of Snowball thingy
Also, don't insult PopCap (It wasn't their fault) or EA (even if they did ruin the game), because the more you do, the more likely it is for them to ignore us.
It was good before they screwed it up.
Before you could grind your way through the endless waves of each world, trying new weapons mixes, changing your techniques, etc. and you could start over whenever you needed to. Now you have to just keep going, basically bashing your head against a level that you can't beat, or better yet, spend all of your in game cash at a cyclic rate because the game is now unbalanced and cannot be beaten without the power ups. Another thoroughly obnoxious change is that one those endless maps you now have to spend 2k per pass to get a shot at a plant that isn't completely useless.
Also, one thing they definitely overlooked last time that they didn't forget this time is ads. I was just thinking, before the upgrade, how much I missed being pestered to download games and spend money between boards (fun fact: if remember a game from an ad, I will never download it). I really hate when the "x" is large, easily hit without accidentally clicking the ad itself, so these ones are right up my alley.
This game had a lot going for it when it was first released, but its gotten successively worse with each and every update.
Money hungry :-(
I initially gave the game a five star rating. It was fun and challenging. It was possible to play the game without having to buy all the extras (though I would have preferred to pay $10 for the game and had everything available without a bunch of in app purchases).
Since the pressure was low, I actually spent money to buy some extras. But after a number of updates, the game has changed so much, that it's almost impossible to enjoy without having to buy real money for the fake money in the game.
I have spent countless hours playing Plants Vs. Zombies 1 and 2, but with all these changes, I've decided to delete the game. I have found it too tedious to have to play the lower (boring) levels a hundred times just to accumulate coins for the one round of a harder level.
I appreciate that Pop Cap needs to make money to continue putting out new and exciting games, but these changes have made Pop Cap come across as excessively greedy.
Goodbye plants. Sunflower, I'll miss you most of all. Zombies… good luck in your after after life.
