The beauty of this game is in its restraint.
What I love about this game is that the best strategy is restraint. If you smash EVERYTHING, you won't get far. Wait for the things that block your path, and only smash those. You'd be surprised how little actually gets in the way, if you really wait til the last second. Sometimes an obstacle doesn't even hit you if you take the risk to go through it. I feel like there's a metaphor for life in there somewhere. I'll let you all figure it out. 😊
Smash Ball is a gorgeous, stylish game with a simple concept: smash to keep going and earn more balls. (Is that a metaphor too? 😝) But it does so in an elegant, almost soothing way - rather then being stressful, it's calming to break all that glass. This is achieved through smooth visuals and music. It's the perfect blend of challenge and do-ability.
I commend the development team for this great game!
Fun... Until they updated
I hate to be that one guy gave us a bad review, but unfortunately I'm going to be that guy. This is a fun game, The traps are clever, it's fun to break stuff and hear a thing break. However, I believe there's a fine line between challenged and fun. If the game is not challenging enough it's not fun. If the game is too challenging it's not fun. This Game was fun when it was new and simple. But then they updated it and made it harder and updated it again and made it even harder and updated it again and now I want to find the game designers and punch them in the face. The first few levels are still easy, but The difficulty rating after those doesn't increase slightly, rather it increases by an extreme amount each level to the point where the game is so frustrating that you find yourself dreaming of breaking the game designers fingers so that They can never create another piece of tripe like this again! I STRONGLY recommend NOT downloading this game!!
Wonderfully Delightfully Addicting! SERIOUSLY!
Here is my current FAVORITE game! I think you'll love it too! It's called SMASH HIT. Simplest controls EVER to play, just tap the screen to throw balls, that's it. But holy cow is it cool, exciting, and beautiful to look at. It's in my top three mobile games EVER! You've gotta try it. I am happily addicted to it!
I very rarely get this enthusiastic about a game, but I can't get bored of it. Sometimes I have to take a break, but a few hours later, I'm back, and it feels fresh every time. Pretty surprising.
I am now also a big fan of Mediocre Games, who made Smash Hit. It reminds me of Stephen Spielberg or James Cameron- not a bad product from them ever! In fact everything they make is beautiful and filled with quality fun!
