“One of the more substantial under-the-radar releases” -Toucharcade
“Fester Mudd is a breezy little slice of point-and-click fun. The retro aesthetic will please Monkey
Island fans, but great writing and clever, logical puzzles mean that anyone can enjoy this game. “ -

Set in the Wild West, FESTER MUDD: CURSE OF THE GOLD is a three-part comic saga of exploration, reunion, and redemption...and a love letter to the classic adventure games of the 90s!
Roused from a life of sloth to reunite with his long-lost brother in search of unimaginable riches, reluctant hero Fester Mudd somehow manages to be intrepid but cowardly, ambitious yet lazy, dimwitted but brilliant.
In Episode 1, Fester hits the trail to join his brother, Bud, in the downtrodden town of Loamsmouth. But when Bud is found to have mysteriously vanished, Fester realizes that the journey will be far longer and more treacherous than he bargained for...and he must enlist the aid of an experienced gunslinger to help him make his way through Indian territory to track down both his missing brother and the gold that awaits them both!
But gunslingers don't come cheap...and Fester must find a way to convince him to join him on the perilous quest.
This Episode sees Fester exploring Loamsmouth and surrounding territories. Along the way, he'll meet and deal with an assortment of Old West roughnecks, flim-flammers, and other larger-than-life characters...and give adventure game fans a huge blast from the past!

Good but not great.
Fester Mudd: Curse Of The Gold-Episode 1: A Fistful Of Pocket Lint is really good. This Game Is A Tribute To Adventure Games. My Problem With Tribute Games Is That They Have References But They Don't Have The Great Gameplay From The Games They're Tributing. That Was My Problem With Abob's Big Adventure. This Gams However Has Both, Excellent References And Solid Gameplay. One Reference I Like Is The Title Episode 1: A Fistful Of Pocket Lint. Pocket Lint Are Never Used In Adventure Games. It's Very Short Though. Puzzles Are Solid. Humor Is Good But Sometimes Can Be Off. Like When The Hobo Keeps Missing Festers Name. At Least Guybrush Threepwood Had Alot Of Room To Go Wrong, Fester Mudd Is A Simple Name. Also The Detour Achievement Dosen't Work. Everybody Online Says You Need It Too Progress In The Game But The Achievement Is Not Opening Up. It's Only A $1 Which Is Awesome. So Try It Out If You Don't Like It, You Only Wasted A Dollar. This Will Keep Me Busy Until The New Leisure Suit Larry Remake Which I Highly Await To. 8/10
A STEAL for the price, wonderfully nostalgic
Short vers. :BUY THE GAME!
Longer Vers.: A wonderful, fresh execution of a nostalgic genre. If you enjoy point-and-click games and screamed YES when you heard about a new game in the genre, you will thoroughly enjoy the challenges and laughs.
The main character is lovable, and the music and graphics are simultaneously 20 years outdated and yet a wonderful throwback. (I thought it was a joke at first, and that the quality would suddenly skyrocket after the intro...). But actually, I'm glad they stuck with the tried-and-true in this case -- I never really enjoyed the newer CG point-and-click adventures nearly as much as the 2D games for some reason.
Though perhaps not *quite* as clever/intelligent as the "Monkey Islands" of olde, Fester Mudd is great fun, and has plenty entertaining humor and puzzles. I probably would have paid $5 for it.
There is one bug I found that should be resolved though. ***NOT REALLY A SPOILER AT ALL BUT I GUESS YOU DON'T NEED TO READ THIS UNTIL YOU THINK YOU FOUND IT....ANYWAY,***
You can't enter the bank from the right side of the scene at a certain point in the game. You click on the door, it freezes for less than a second, and then the dog barks at you, and you run back. Even when you approach from above on the walkway.
BUY THE GAME!!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!!!
P-&-C Adventure Games, I Just Adore
If you love old-style point-&-click adventure games, then this is right up your alley. This game has everything I love about the old DOS games, humor, cartoony pixels, and oddball puzzle solving. I've really been enjoying this game.
Another great thing I enjoy is how easy and nice the user-interface is, you have the usual action word buttons and if you hold your finger on the screen and move around you can find which items are clickable and that's something that's good for a tablet game. It simulates what the mouse cursor would do in a PC point-&-click adventure game.
I can't wait to play more episodes.
