Changed my life and killed my wife
At first I was incredibly intrigued to find such a simple little game on the app store. But soon that curiosity became an addiction and I could not put down this amazing new app! I was playing it 24/7 and in my dreams I even saw floating geometric shapes I had to get past. I was having the time of my life. Until the Incident happened. I was playing in Endless mode and was so close to achieving the score of 1,000,000 (not much but still) which I had been trying to do for the past two days. And then my wife started yelling at me about how I spend too much time playing that "lame square game" and in her fit of rage she took my phone and chucked it across the room like how a chimpanzee would fling its feces. I ran after it feeling like she had just thrown my firstborn child into a lake. I picked up my phone as fast as I could but saw I had already died in-game. After a while of laying in the fetal position, I got up and grabbed my wife. I took her downstairs and slammed her head against the stove, burning her face until it was almost completely unrecognizable. I soon after realized the terrible thing I had done and ended up calling the police on myself. The cops came and I explained what had happened and then they arrested me. My wife was taken to a hospital where I later found out she had died. I was given a life sentence in prison for manslaughter.
Great game 5/5 stars
It's app the week right now, so get it!
When browsing through App Store every once in a while, I came upon Duet. This was a long time ago, probably about a year. It cost $2 then, and I wasn't really allowed to spend any money, so I vowed that one day I would get because it looked like a great game. Then, recently I saw that it was app of the week. I got really excited and installed it immediately. At first, when I started playing it, the controls seemed completely different from anything else I had ever played. I failed countless times at the beginning, but after a while I got the hang of it. I slowly progressed through the rest of the levels in the story section. I knew it was going to take me a while to finish the entire game with challenge, epilogue, and encore. By the end of the first day, I had gotten half-way through story, and I thought I was doing okay. The spinning blocks were fun to figure out, and the music in depression almost made me want to give up. The disappearing blocks in acceptance were a surprise.
If you're still hesitating, it's only free for probably only a little while more, but until then, there's nothing too lose!
I'll give it a calm 5 stars- I'm not Raving
I got this game as a Starbucks free game of the week card over 365 days ago. I played it, liked it, found it very difficult, then left it alone the majority of Twenty-14, but the maxims did resonate with me… This game is very well made, and I like the spiritual and mental philosophies and maxims that it slides in (I'm sure many people deny that part of the game; eg.,"…but where do you end, and others begin?") I like the electronica music, too! The daily challenge and the constant addition if variations, wound up reeling me back in, and now I've been playing it a lot more. Even so, I don't feel OVERLY enamored of this game the way a lot of other people have expressed. I just appreciate the developers' evident acknowledgement of the repetition of the game, and the possibility of that becoming mundane, and they did something about that. The Encore in-app purchase is a further exhilarating step toward that intention! It is worth it! It's just too bad there are some people out there who complain about in-app purchases, rather than simply CHOOSE not to but it, and keep their grievances to themselves.
