Rough around the edges on modern Mac
I love the old 15c, and though this version is very inexpensive and generally functional, it is a bit rough around the edges. The graphics definitely need to be upgraded for the retina display - I find this is quite “blocky” from displays to key graphics. The other surprising thing is that it is noticably slow. I’m not sure if this is due to running on Yosemite, or if it is not sufficiently optimized, but operations that I can run on the Apple calculator and then compare to this version of the 15c (like raising a number to a double digit power) take noticably longer here. Doesn’t keep me from using it, but definitely something to be improved upon.
Had the same problem as the previous user, then noticed the on button on the calc, hit that and it worked! Kinda of an odd feature to have on a computer program. If you launch it, it should be on. I’ll ding it one star for that.
Otherwise it looks just like my real world 15C from my college days, a welcome addition. I missed my old RPN calculator that worked until a couple Apple OS upgrades ago.
RPN15C does not work!
This application loaded as expected. Upon launching the application it does not display any inputs, including by keyboard, or by point and click. I closed the application and tried a seccond time . . . and then a third time . . . and then a fourth time. Fiinally I quit trying and chose to write a review, this review. One of the major problems buying software through Apple is trying to get a refund when the software does not perform - one example of poor Apple service in an ocean of excellent customer service. Apple management shouild take a look at this “problem” then take corrective action.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
